Hello! I am looking to build for the 5090. Was going to snag stuff as it goes on sale on amazon b/c they offer return protection through 1/31/25 in case the announcement at CES makes things weird. Was wondering if the following setup makes sense. Thank you!
New build or upgrade?
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links). no
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) games and stuff - its overkill but am treating myself from my 2060 build back in 2019.
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center? US, near Microcenter
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) yes - 27 inches is probably fine, I'll use 2 since I swap one to work on daily. Currently have 2x curved VA 60hz ones. will replace. I sit like 26 inches from the monitor
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations) lets call it $4k but there is wiggle room.
- WiFi or wired connection? wired
- Size/noise constraints? no
- Cololighting preferences? all black, no RGB
- Any other specific needs? no
- other: I think the ram and mobo are a little overkill, and I'm fine with that. Really uncertain on monitors but seems like I sit so close and am used to curved to sticking with it might make sense? I also put some value on having 2x the same monitors but if that is nonsense, I am willing to hear it. I did the low profile RAM so it would fit under the air cooler.

I work at a pub 4 nights a week and the owners are really cool by letting me eat as much as I want on shift but the food is shitty quality and I try to make myself eat the healthiest options but sometimes I just crave all the sugar and carbs I can get my fingers on. How can I stop eating all the shit food at my work? I tried eating before work and it just makes me eat more sugar during shift because I already had my dinner. One of if not the best mage in mid that I can say. Has really good wave clear with the buffs to her Q and has surprisingly long cc with her charm at 2 secs at max lvl. Combine her with a jungler like lee sin or vi or any skirmisher bruiser jung and it fits really well in any comp against any comp. How are any other control mages like? I feel they lack damage a lot of the times when I play them.
