31F and I completed quadruple therapy for H. pylori two months ago. My main symptom at the time was bloating. Unfortunately, the antibiotics disrupted my microbiome, and I ended up with two additional infections: Entamoeba histolytica and C. difficile. My doctor prescribed Flagyl and probiotics, which resolved the acute symptoms.
However, since then, I've been dealing with on and off bloating in a specific area. It’s located just to the left and slightly above my belly button. When I touch it, the area feels hard as a rock, and I can tell that part of my small intestine is bloated. Sometimes, the entire area of my small intestine feels firm.
I’m following a low-FODMAP diet, I don’t have constipation and I pass gas normally.
What could this be? Has anyone experienced something similar? I didn’t realize that bloating could be localized to one side, like the left or right. I always thought bloating only affected the upper or lower abdomen.
Some people have mentioned it might be a hernia, but based on what I’ve read, it doesn’t match my symptoms, and my belly button itself isn’t bulging or showing any obvious signs of a hernia.

2024.11.26 06:50 OppositeCherry My name showing in manager’s calendar?
I was looking at my manager’s calendar and basically all meetings etc say “Busy.” However, next to a couple of appointments today, it said “Busy; My Name.” But then my name disappeared when I checked it again at the end of the day. I’ve never seen this before.
Anyone have any idea what this could be?

I work at a medical lab and my boss tends to drink the corporate cool aid. I’m openly non binary and I have three trans women co works. A few weeks ago when I was stressed out about the election he offered to teach me how to shoot. He started talking about his beliefs about solidarity among minorities and how minorities should be armed. He told me about all his guns and that he had a couple of guns in his truck at that moment. I had no idea he was a gun guy.
I’m one of three people who has taken him up on the offer to learn how to shoot so far. Before this I had only ever shot a BB gun once at a day camp.
At the range he unpack a whole punch of guns. I probably tried five hands, plus a cowboy style six shooter and two rifles.
I’m very small. My hands are barely big enough to hold the guns properly. Most of the handguns had enough recoil to shove me back. I’m kind of surprised I managed to not hit myself in the face with the recoil.
Then he brought out a big ass rifle and we had this conversation ’What the heck is that?’ ‘My AK-47.’ Shocked pause ‘Who are you?’
So, I got to shoot an AK-47. Since my arms are so little I had to put it down after each shot.
The whole experience was very intimidating. Even with ear protection I jumped every time some else fired. I keeped thinking ‘Oh, shit that’s a gun!’ ‘Oh, shit those are bullets!’ ‘Oh, shit that’s an even bigger gun!’
That’s how it went for me. The takeaways that I want to share are- Learn to shoot with someone who knows what they’re doing Practice before you buy Every gun is different and try a few out to find out what’s right for you
I’m not sure if I’m going to buy yet. I would definitely like to practice a couple more times first. And I need one that’s actually going to fit in my hand.

Hallo zusammen. Ich trainiere regelmäßig und seit Jahren im Gym. Habe im November eine einwöchige Pause gemacht, weil ich ausgelaugt war und vom Kopf nicht mehr so ganz dabei war. Davor die Zeit habe ich regelmäßig gute Kraftzuwächse gehabt. Nach meiner Pause lief auch alles soweit wieder reibungslos abgesehen das Quadrizeps Training. Habe bei Hacksquats einen richtigen Leistungsabfall gehabt. Hatte die Woche vor der Pause 2 Sätze à 90kg mit jeweils 6 Reps gemacht. Bei der Session war nach 3x komplett Feierabend. Danach beim Beinstrecker musste ich die Gewichte auch um 20kg reduzieren. Hab mir erstmal nichts wildes dabei gedacht und dachte vielleicht die Tagesform obwohl das schon ein großer Leistungsabfall war. Bei allen anderen Muskelgruppen lief es ganz normal auch bei den Hams. Jetzt gestern habe ich wieder Quads trainiert. Ohne Gewichte aufgewärmt und dann auf 45kg hoch und nach 3 Reps war Feierabend. Hatte ein ganz komisches Gefühl im Quad und es tat auch etwas weh. Meine Quads waren brutal angespannt und dabei habe ich ja nicht viel gemacht. Hab das Quad Training dementsprechend natürlich abgebrochen. Habe im Ruhezustand keinerlei Schmerzen aber frage mich was das sein kann. Weiß nicht ob die Info relevant ist aber mache seit gut 2 Monaten auch richtig regelmäßig Cardio 3x pro Woche für 30 Minuten auf einem Ergometer.

A NZ company that I purchased goods from went into liquidation and I didn’t receive the $500 of goods that I have paid for. The Liquidators have reached out to advise there are no funds remaining to pay so I will not be refunded.
Aware it’s not a huge amount of money in the scheme of things, but still money that’s I’ve essentially given away for free lol. Is there anything further I can do?
