I just want to vent this to somebody. I’m working night shift.
It has taken a toll on me. I started on day shift and got moved to night shift 3 months in. Let’s say it has gotten me to the point I go to my car multiple times in a night just to smoke weed. I’m doing it in the line of sight of the camera. Genuinely don’t care. The schedule is 8pm to 830am.
I’m done ruining my health over expectations. The job is fine when I have my way with it. I’m thinking ahead and simply not living check to check just in case. I basically have to make it to December so I can get my bonus and actively start accepting interviews.
If you’re working night shift and you feel stuck, I feel you. It is not worth it at all in my opinion.

Hey everyone. So after lurking in this awesome community for a while I've decided to start my own collection. Over the past couple of months I shopped the azmeteorites EBay store and collected a few of my own. I was wondering if any of you had any ideas of ways to display my collection better. I live by the beach so for now Im keeping them in the baggies the seller sent them in because they are already labeled and to prevent the irons from rusting. I would like to mount something on my wall that would fit all of them and look nice, keep them protected from the moisture in the air as best as I can and have the option to open it if possible. I did see the Riker cases but wondered if there were any other choices. Eventually I think I'm going to get a couple of bigger specimens once I know I can take care of these. I really appreciate all the input and suggestions you give me. So far everything I saw out there hitting all of my wishes may be a bit hard to accomplish.

I know this sounds stupid with Android Auto etc, but I like to have my music take up the whole screen, and would prefer to mount a GPS so it can operate on full screen and give live traffic.
Could probably mount an old phone but something with a better screen would be good. Is there a Google maps GPS device?
Am I crazy? Does this exist? Or is this a case of shut up and just use Android Auto like a normal person...

I was awaken by a loud thud. I didn’t expect the first thing I would see once I was born to be my mother, getting crushed under a fallen structure. There were more falling things so I rushed out of the nursery. Soon after the nursery was crushed. I swam away quickly. I don’t know what crushed my home, but I do know that no other squid made it out. I searched for hours to find another squid that happened to have escaped the rubble, but found nothing. I need to find a place to work. If a furnace finds this, I’d gladly work for you in exchange for food and hunting advice. I did not learn how to hunt for my teachers were crushed. Anyone with an abundance of fish and open water, please respond to this transmission! I have many tentacles so that might be helpful!

2024.11.26 04:20 rdrkt What's that one piece you picked up and thought it'd be easy, only to find yourself completely knocked on your own ass?
For me, it's been this one piece that I'd wanted to learn since I'd heard back in highschool when I was on a big J-Pop kick. There was this one album Ayumi Hamasaki put out where she did orchestral covers of some of her hits, and one in particular always stood out to me: Powder Snow. I was studying piano and the accompaniment to that song completely transformed the song into something else. The original, for the curious, is here; the orchestral release, here.
Fast forward 20 years and I finally tracked down a transcription of the song and started learning it a couple years ago. I did an initial read through and plucked my way through it no problem. Groovy, it'll be performance ready in like a month or two, right? I got past the "A" section of the song and ... man it just really started kicking my ass. Trying to keep everything going all at the same time is such a challenge!
My senior recital piece was the Black Keys Etude by Chopin, why did this song kick my ass so hard?
Anyway, here is my latest attempt to perform it, I'm curious: what pieces have you picked up thinking they'd be a breeze that then kicked your butt...and how has that affected you as a pianist?

I am new to Credit cards and looking to get my first Life-time free credit card. I don't travel much, so with my usecase, I am primarily looking for cards that offer cashback and shopping benefits (Rupay cards for UPI is an added advantage for my usecase).
I have a few cards in mind:
- ICICI Coral Credit Card (Getting this as LTF pre-approved with salary account)
- HDFC Tata Neu Card (Getting this as LTF, Plus or Infinity subject to eligibility checks)
- ICICI Amazon Pay Credit Card (I do get the apply option, but not sure if I'll be approved)
- HDFC Swiggy Credit Card (It is being offered LTF till end of December)
- HDFC Millenia Credit Card
- SBI Cashback Credit Card
Honestly, I find the benefits from the co-branded cards better in comparison to core cards, but I have read that getting a co-branded card first is not a good idea, as the banks do not offer upgrades. (I am not much in the credit card space and not particularly aiming for a specific card in the future, as of now, but options should be open I guess).
What should be my approach, and which cards should I apply for, in what order?
For Amazon Pay and Tata Neu cards, I have the option to apply via trusted offline agents. Should I go with them, or is applying online better?
I'd appreciate any advice or insights from this community. Thanks in advance.
