Living with my sister has become a constant challenge due to her behavior. She often leaves dishes on the bed, despite my repeated requests for her to pick them up. No matter how many times I remind her, she ignores me, leaving me to clean up after her. This habit isn’t just frustrating—it’s disrespectful and unhygienic. It feels like she doesn’t care about the shared spaces or how her actions affect others.
What’s even harder to deal with is her attitude. She’s often mean to me for no apparent reason. Whether it’s a sarcastic comment, an unnecessary insult, or outright ignoring me when I try to speak to her, it feels like she’s constantly trying to put me down. I don’t understand why she acts this way, especially when I try to approach her calmly and respectfully.
Her behavior not only creates tension but also makes it difficult to maintain a positive relationship. I want us to get along and respect each other, but her actions and attitude make it hard. I hope that someday she’ll realize how much her behavior affects me and that we can work toward a better dynamic. Until then, I’ll continue trying to communicate with her and find ways to manage the frustration she causes.

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with this. I teach art so I don’t really know a lot about gen ed curriculum.
I teach at a low-income/Title 1 elementary and my school got new curriculum this year. Now, 2nd grade has a unit on “gods and goddesses” and apparently they are also teaching some degree of religious history, discussing Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism. I’ve also been told this curriculum was “very pricey”. That’s all I know.
I guess my question is…is this how it begins? Are they inching their way in to be able to eventually be able to just outright teach that Christianity in full force? I can think of no other reason that they’d be prioritizing teaching about gods and religions to kids that can’t tie their shoes or read sight words.
This is how it begins, right?
