I have a budget of $1500. I specifically saved up for this to get the best quality headphone that I can get. I am in the United States.
My normal style of headphones are something like Fostex Th900 or Sony's headphone lineups. I love the sub bass in these headphones.
However I want to feel the wind when playing games. Looking for a massive soundstage where I can feel the air move. Even where explosions sound 3 dimensional and can rumble. These headphones will be for movies and games.
Also I am thinking open back may move more air but not entirely sure. If it came down to it, it truly doesnt matter open or closed back I just want the sound that fits the criteria
That being said what are you recommendations for high quality over ear cans that fit the bill?

2024.11.26 04:48 scroogesnephew Dogfight ensemble doubling: why?
I’ve recently been cast in Dogfight, in a (semi-invented) female ensemble. I’m playing Suzette (Fector’s date to the Dogfight), Chippy (the prostitute Bernstein loses his virginity to), and a background character in a few other scenes.
I know in the original cast there were only 4 female actors in the show: the ones playing Rose, her mother, Marcy, & Ruth Two Bears. And together they played Suzette, Chippy, Peggy, and other small parts.
My question is… why? And… how? Isn’t it more confusing for the audience that way? How do you even do the actual dogfight scene? There are more than 4 girls at the party! Why not simply hire 2 additional female actors, so you don’t have to be re-costuming your leads as new background characters every few minutes?
I assume it was an economic choice, but does anyone know if there are other reasons for it that I’m not seeing? Lol. I’m just intrigued!

2024.11.26 04:48 hoom4n66 I don't know how to study or even plan doing homework right.
I really don't. I barely study and sometimes I do okay, sometimes I do great, sometimes not. I struggle to actually make time for it, focus long enough to do it, not get derailed, and do it effectively. It's procrastination, but it's also so much more. It's been a thing since at least middle school, and probably even elementary school.
Now I'm in college. And suffering. Also going through some health stuff that is really taking a toll on me. And forget about applying to internships and stuff, even. I can barely make myself do the basic living stuff and attend every class. Hell, even class is hard because I struggle to actually focus and understand things (probably because my study habits suck). Paradoxically, I don't actually have time for fun things. I know that sounds stupid, but somehow it's true.
There are people who seem to party every night and be more functional than me who never parties. I need some tips for trying to plan a study/hw/assignment schedule that I can stick to and is flexible and isn't suffering.

2024.11.26 04:48 Anton_Chigger Trouble connecting a 2.4ghz only Ring camera to a dual band network (2.4 and 5 under single SSID)
I have an asus router where I have their smart connect feature of the router handling both 2.4 and 5 under the same SSID. Curiously, my 2.4 only Ring doorbell and roomba can connect just fine, but the 2.4 only Ring cameras apparently cant see or connect to the network (according to my wife who was setting them up while I was at work). If I separate the network each with their own SSID the cameras can connect to the 2.4 network just fine.
Any idea what might be happening here? Is it possible that the router is somehow shunting the cameras to the 5ghz channel, which then they can't connect to?
For convenience I'd like everything under a single SSID, but I'd rather not annoy my wife by resetting the network settings and disconnecting every device until I have an idea how I might fix the problem haha (plus since she set it up first she has to be the one to reconnect all the devices through her account)

So I’m looking to lat move for my reenlistment but I’m trying to figure out what would be more beneficial for when I get out! I’ve heard EOD is fun and small community with a top secret (downside is that it’s a 6 year contract with a bonus).
I also heard counter intel (5 year contract) will definitely open doors to three letter agencies (also has a TS) and has a lot of beneficial knowledge.
