Im in the Bay Area and im a 23m who is making a lot of money for sales and marketing but then I see job postings for Machine learning developers that are going to make 2-3x what I make đ.
I know finding good engineers is hard but any advice on how to not fall into the comp comparison trap?

My husband and I married in 2022 and we have been trying for a baby ever since with no success. Initially I prayed alot and believed that God would bless us with the gift of life but I don't see the point in praying anymore. Months and months of tears and heartbreak have strained my relationship with God. I'm going to write some of the problematic thoughts/doubts that have been plaguing my mind down below - 1. Is life really a gift from God when people who don't believe in our God also have babies? People who follow other religions and some Christians who don't pray, don't go to Church are also blessed with children.
- I know God can do anything. He enabled an elderly Sarah to bear a child. I know He is capable of doing the same for me but why would He not? Why would He withhold this gift from us?
- I know of many couples who are addicts and alcoholics unable to properly care for their children and there are some who abort their babies due to health, financial or other reasons. It feels unfair that they can conceive and I can't.
- People from the Bible and in the present day use their hardships to strengthen their faith and grow closer to God but I seem to be drifting away instead. I believe in God and I believe that Jesus died for my sins but I feel far away from God now.

This year I'm spending it alone and it sucks because I started hormone replacement therapy and it's my first birthday as myself. I'm lying in my bed right now in the early hours of the morning crying. I'm so nervous about my birthday that I'm contemplating turning my phone off for the day to avoid the awkward calls from the various people in my life wishing me and writing me asking what I'm doing for the day as I have no plans. The video calls would be the worst when they'd ask me what I'm doing for the day. I was thinking of getting myself a cupcake or two for my birthday and eating it in a park to celebrate my birthday but I've never done that before and the idea of it is embarrassing. Is anyone else unfortunate enough to be in the same position?

Long story short, my 1986 Toshiba T3100/20 took a tumble last night and one of the flex cables on the bottom left of the monitor got severed. It's technically still usable, but I'd like to find a replacement display that doesn't cost a fortune so full legibility can be restored. All I really need is a parts unit with a fully intact display, as the screen is modular and can be removed by disconnecting 3 cables. Any help is appreciated.

I'm non-binary trans, which makes life lonely enough, but on the outside I appear like any ordinary, bearded gay man.
For the last 27 years of dating, it's like the gay male community decided anything "heteronormative" about dating (even if not practiced by the straight community) -- like taking things slow, getting to know each other before sex, going out on a few play dates before jumping in the sack -- those things have been replaced by sex-or-nothing.
A few guys have already bailed the minute I said I'm not willing to put out right away. Even the nicest fellas were like, "Bye, Felicia!"
And I'm going to puke if another guy in an open relationship wants to be fuck buds. (It's difficult to express myself without coming across judgemental towards open couples; I genuinely don't mind what you both do together, just leave me out of your sex lives, please.)
So, here I sit. Alone in my room. Typing on Reddit as a way to vent. No idea where this post will go, but I can't be the only one who feels this way...right? đ
I'm looking into old-fashioned community centers and event spaces, where people with similar backgrounds or who share similar interests can connect in a safe space. Perhaps that will help?
