Hi all, I inspected a car on Saturday along with an independent mechanic that performed a thorough pre-purchase inspection. The inspection flagged that the tyres would need attention (under 1.5mm on inner side of some tyres). I've asked the dealer to add a condition to the contract of sales to replace the tyres. But the dealer is adamant he had the mechanics at the dealership take a look at the tyres and say they are fine, gave me a spiel about how they can only sell cars that pass roadworthy as they risk losing their licence if they don't
What are my options here? Is there any way of holding the dealership accountable for the tyres they've vouched for?

Greetings!
My world of The Chronicles of Erie is based loosely on the Pathfinder Second Edition role-playing game. This is to give a vibrant and colourful cast of people's without the need to really figure out the mechanical stuff since it is already there.
I have however come to a snag. See, I have it written in the Lore that nobody really knows the origin of any of the ancestries. Humans for example started off in a part of the continent but since they are so numerous it is a moot point trying to figure out where exactly the first human came up.
How can I justify there being so many different peoples without just saying "Oh the gods did it"? Because while it would be easy to take from established fantasy tropes and/or copy what Pathfinder does (Elves in that universe is from a different planet, for example) I do have a lot of my own stuff going on.
Big example. The Dwarves of Erie are not exactly like most Fantasy Dwarves. Fantasy Dwarves tend to have a bit of a Scottish/Scandinavian vibe. Living in the cold mountains, digging for treasure, and being generally good craftsmen. The Dwarves on Erie meanwhile are best known to amalgamate themselves wherever they go. They do not have a unified culture other than being Dwarf and occasionally some unified dieties (Read: Greek Pantheon being basically the only thing the Helenistic World had in common. Not even the language was united.)
For some of the ancestries I have a spin on things. Elves and Orcs for example are some of the oldest people who lived in Erie and are arguably the first civilizations. Orcs were origonally made by the Elves as manual labourers, but with time it became its own thing. This is why Elf and Orc genetics tends to be really strong (Read: Aiuvarin and Droomar heritage in Pathfinder 2e Remaster allows you to play a Half-Elf/Orc no matter the ancestry).
This is all good and I just mainly want to discuss how to have so different peoples be on the same world in the same time without it feeling too contrived. Time travel and portals are mostly out of the question since the former I have vetoed and the later is a crutch.
