Hi, I want to produce sodium triacetoxyborohydride (STAB). For this, I will be making 0.1M NaOH solution by dissolving 1g NaOH in 250 mL water then adding NaBH4 to get 1% w/v of NaBH4
Then, I will be adjusting the pH to 6 with acetic acid.
I will be doing this to reduce enamines and followed a journal article which said : 'immersed overnight in NaBH4 aqueous solution in which acetic acid was used to adjust pH to 6'
I don't have very much experience in practical chemistry. What considerations should I take while doing this?
I found even adding the NaBH4 to the NaOH solution has high heat of reaction. Should I do it in an ice bath?
Also, my main thing is adding the acetic acid. They do not mention the concentration. I currently have 99% acetic acid which is pH 2.5. From previous knowledge, I know not to mix low and high pH and from what I see, my NaOH solution will have pH13. Should I dilute the acid first?

I'm currently using a 64 gb SD card on a modded iPod classic 4th generation. I'm toying with the idea of replacing the card with a much higher capacity one. However, I am concerned about potentially going overboard with this given the memory capabilities of this machine (granted, this was manufactured almost 20+ years ago).

However, I'm making a post here in the hopes of soliciting some feedback on how far to push this. I can always try different sizes until things start breaking, but I'd prefer not to spend time going that route.

The thing is I failed my IGCSE Math and Physics in Year 11. So when I finish At year 13 I only could done AS Math and Physics. In high school we doing CIE exam Board for those two subject. However, my dream is to get accept in Uni Mel. So I was thinking to finish the exam with Other exam board which is Edexcel for math and physics.And I will sit exam outside of school for A level math and physics.
