Hello all. I had a few questions regarding esoteric buddhism. Forgive my ignorance in the topic, as this post will definitely be uninformed. Firstly, I was told that someone not initiated in tantric, esoteric tibetan, or vajrayana buddhism should avoid esoteric teachings, as this could cause hindrances in the buddhist Path or could anger certain Protecters of the Dharma, such as certain Bodhisattvas or tibetan deities. Is this correct information?
Secondly, what practices are considered esoteric and what is considered exoteric? In other words, at this stage in my buddhist Path, what practices should I avoid and what should I pursue, as I’m not initiated in tantric practice? I’m very confused on this topic. Are yidams off limits? Should I avoid reciting certain mantras? What about the 5 cosmic Buddhas? Are there any parts of tibetan buddhism that aren’t esoteric? I assume there are.
I also have a practice with Medicine Buddha. I’ve heard he plays an important role in esoteric practice, and do not wish to cross any boundaries or be disrespectful with my practice. Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated. May you be free from suffering.

Hello. I've never made a post on this subreddit so please bare with me
About two months ago, I (19m) met this amazing girl (18F) from Australia through reddit(sad, I know) and I’ve developed feelings for her. We’ve been writing letters to each other and even celebrated her birthday virtually. It’s been great, but recently she met a new friend (18M) who lives about an hour away from her, and they have so much in common.
She doesn’t talk about him a lot, but from what she has said, it feels like she might be interested in him. She’s described him as her “doppelganger” and said their interactions are completely effortless. It stings because I really like her, but I know she’d probably be happier with him since he’s local and they seem to click so well.
To make things even more confusing, she’s been giving me a lot of mixed signals. On one hand, she’s done so many things that make me think she might feel the same way about me:
She’s told me multiple times she can’t imagine not talking to me every day and that it feels like she’s known me her whole life, even though we’ve only known each other for two months.
She wrote me a 5-page letter with two pieces of custom fanart (of my favorite series, Vagabond) and mailed it to me.
For her birthday, I sent her a letter and a gift, and when we read my letter together on a call, she cried and said, “Is it bad that I think your letter is better than everything else I’ve gotten?”
She’s helping me with the music and art for a game I’m developing—completely free of charge.
She’s said things like, “You’re the only person I feel like I can be genuine with,” and has even shown me rejecting other guys in her DMs.
But then, she’ll make comments that leave me second-guessing, like, “If it were you who said that, I’d be happy, but oh well,” or she’ll bring up her new friend in ways that make me think she’s leaning toward him.
Now, about this friend: He’s a year younger than her and very clearly interested in her. For her birthday, he sent her two plushies and a custom card. He talks to her about his day, mentions dreaming about her, and they have so much in common—same humor, hobbies, even the same birthday. She’s even mentioned how alike they are and how their conversations are never awkward.
I’m stuck. I really like her and would be heartbroken if I had to walk away, but I also feel like she’d be happier with him. And honestly, I think she might already be seeing him in a romantic light.
Should I tell her how I feel, or would that just complicate things?
(There’s a chance she might see this post since we met on this app, but I’m at a loss and need advice. Her seeing this might actually make things easier, or funnier depending on how you look at things)

Hello! I'm having septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery done in a few weeks.
I live in Colorado. The average humidity in my house the last week has been about 25%.
I'd been planning to get a few evaporative humidifiers before I knew I was getting surgery. But I'm wondering if something like a warm mist one would make more sense and be better post-op?
Does anyone have any preferences or recommendations?
(I like evaporative humidifiers because they don't leave mineral deposits all over everything.).

So I recently started my first ever cycle im using test e and my first pin was 5 days ago, I pinned 150 mg sub-q into my glute. The day after I had pinned it caused a bit of pain and created a lump, now 5 days later the pain is severe and I can’t sit without it causing VERY intense pain. The lump has grown to about the size of a baseball. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hello all! I am a researcher and would like participants to interact with a chat bot and/or another human via typing. All anonymous. In testing, I have had trouble getting participants to write very much in the chat. I acknowledge this might be less of a writing problem and more of a social problem, especially with other humans.
Have you come across (or could you think of) any good ways to encourage more participation? I have tried incentivizing a bonus for X number of posts. I was thinking of possibly prescreening, but this might introduce other problems like the selection bias of certain participant traits.
I would be very appreciative of any thought you might be willing to share. Thank you!

 | Hi guys, been running BSFL for a couple of years. I have been steadily improving the method of farming and have been quite successful. Being in the dry tropics, its a year round affair. The biggest issue has been clearing the bin, as after a generation or so the muck becomes too much, holds dampness and stinks the high heaven. The last couple of months I keep having die offs. I raise the eggs seperately and introduce them once theyre a few mm long. The first time Im pretty sure ants killed them off. The second time I'm not sure, but there were a lot of fly maggots. This time ive no idea. None seem to be making it to prepupate stage. Pictures attached, showing live and dead, and low population. No idea whats wrong.
