On November 24, 2024, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that the ministerial committee for equipping and power building approved several procurement and modernization projects for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). These projects include replacing the Nirit (Saar 4.5) fleet and acquiring hundreds of Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), designated locally as "Para."
The JLTV program was developed to replace the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee) and provide improved survivability and mobility. (Picture source: Oshkosh Defense)

I just made a poll for Proxmox hypervisor in terms of willingness of users to customise it. (Feel free to vote if you use it, context there.)
But then this is a much wider question, whatever self-hosted you use, starting from even e.g. OS kernel. To what lenghts are you willing to go e.g. build sources with custom patches applied for your very own deployment?
I am wondering, if most of this "self-space" is just self-hosting the "canned" versions that come from the packages, or how much motivated you are - and based on what - to e.g. apply well-known or even bespoke own patches to your favourite self-hosted anything (and what it is).
And is this important part of self-hosting for you?

I have asked my landlord for permission to take her into my apartment and they have provided little to no reasoning for denying this request. Per my understanding of German tenancy law, I am essentially entitled to my partner moving in unless the landlord can provide sufficient reasoning for denying this and asking permission is more of a courtesy than anything. Hi,
I’ve been told by my doctor that I need to stop taking the combined pill due to my migraines and she has recommended that I try the mini pill instead or opt for the implant or an IUD.
I’ve tried the mini pill before and it didn’t suit me. I’d be willing to try the bar but have heard too many horror stories about IUDs to ever want to get one.
Does anyone know any other migraine friendly options or have any advice?

I'm sorry if this is all over the place.
My dad died, on Wednesday, November 20th, 2025. At 10:30 p.m. it was a car accident. It is being viewed as a vehicle homicide at the moment. (Dad = victim)
I heard about it at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 21st, 2024. His (separated but still legally married) wife found out around 10 a.m. Her niece found out at 9:21 a.m. (she commented on the photo of Dad's car so the detective reached out to her). Why, was I told so late? I was the first of his immediate family (is that still possible anymore when everyone is no contact?) to know.
I had to tell my sisters and brother. I had to tell his parents.
I'm struggling here. Everyone. Everyone was no contact with this man. He was a horrible man who continuously refused to respect what everyone asked for. So everyone was tired.
But I always went back. Because he is (was?) my daddy. But this last fight we had on November 10th. Oh God. I said awful things. He said horrible things.
I don't want those to be the last things I said to my daddy.
But they are. And I'm devastated.
I just don't know how to make sense of things. There's a million things going on in my head and I can't stop thinking.
I don't know how to properly grieve. I don't know how not to spiral. I don't know how to mourn the man that never provided, but verbally always said how much he loved us.
I'm lost. Please help

I also have two speaker options in mind: the Sonos Era 100 or the Edifier R1280DB.
What do you think of these combinations? Which of the two pairs of turntables and speakers would you recommend? Or do you have any other suggestions that are in the $300-400 price range for both?

I'm a gold 2 support trying to get better at the game. One thing i really struggle with is knowing when to pick what, i play a wide variety of enchanters and engage/tanks and can pick between those based on my team comp (do we need more tanks, do we need more cc?) but never based on the enemy comp. There's so many possible matchups it feels impossible to remember which champ is good against which, anyone here has any resource to learn that?
