i rent a house from a property management company. we have been dealing with mice for the last week. our property management is handling it by having their handyman come 3 times to put down maybe one or two traps. we have been putting traps down ourselves and have caught 4 or 5. the mice are getting smarter and are avoiding the traps, but still getting the bait. communicating with our property manager is incredibly frustrating. she did not reply to our messages over the weekend and we are left in the dark about what is being done about the mice. she will not give us the contact for the handyman, who is the one that's supposed to be handling this, and we have no way of communicating with him. he always comes when we are out of the house and we are not informed what he does when he comes here. the situation worsens every day something isn't done about it. one roommate saw a mouse in her downstairs bedroom. we are going to set other traps, but is there anything else we can do? do we have any recourse to reach out to Burlington Code Enforcement? i worry that the property management is going to give them a bullshit response and say they're handling it. there is mice feces behind our stove and a terrible smell coming from below the floor of our sink that we suspect is a rotting dead mouse.

It's the enemy of my enemy is my friend trope again. It's the easiest way to make two opposing forces coexist, just throw them a bigger evil to fight against. Aot, Code Geass. did it There are probably more examples too.
The reason I dislike it is because if Piltover and Zaun didn't unite at that moment, they both would've lost and all the people would've died. They don't really have a choice if they want to survive Viktor's attack. When Piltover was oppressing Zaun it was a choice, but to take away the choice for resolution of the conflict, it feels cheap. I feel like that the resolution shoul've been something like the leadership of Piltover and Zaun understanding how their pointless conflict destroyed so many lives, and ultimately hurting themselves more than benefiting. So they'd actively attempt to form a truce instead of the either you join or you die alliance
Ambessa didn't need to be here at all. She was just here for sequel bait. Viktor and Singed alone would've been better villains because ultimately, the conflict between Piltover and Zaun is what created both Viktor and Singed, While Ambessa is a foreigner from another country forcefully joining the conflict. In the final fight the Noxians weren't necessary, Viktor's Robots were enough to beat the Piltover-Zaun alliance, so there wasn't any need for the Noxians. Mel choosing to stay in Piltover would've been better, because in the end, Mel may have been born in Noxus but she grew out of her mother's shadow in Piltover, her story was in Piltover not in Noxus where she last was when she was a child.
