My family dog Mochi (pomshi) of 16 years passed away at the vet yesterday. I would like to trust that we as a family and the vet did everything for her and correctly. She was all fine (eating, drinking, walking) just a few days ago. But the night before yesterday, she was wobbly when walking when let out to the bathroom. She ate but less than usual. Then yesterday she started refusing food and water so I made a vet appt in the afternoon (when the local vet was available). She started to having a hard time standing up and breathing very fast and shallow. So we went to the vet earlier and waited there. When the vet saw her, he said with her age, she looks like she is on the way out. I asked if there is anything he can do to see where is she hurting to make her more comfortable. And we will most likely have an euthanize appt at home so she is surrounded by all family.
He ended up doing blood tests and x-ray to see what is wrong. And put her on oxygen due to her shallow breathing. But she is very alert and head up when going in. The test said her liver and kidneys are failing and that’s the most likely main cause. So I asked that when she’s done with oxygen session we will take her home with some liquid pain killers for the night. And she was given a shot to antibiotic since her white blood cell count is high. But as soon as they take her back to us from the back room into my mom’s arms, she was no longer alert and her head dropping and eyes rolling. And she passed within a few minutes. It was a very traumatic experience.
We know she is on the way out (as the vet puts it) due to her age. But since she was alert and all before going to the vet, I just wanted to know if I shouldn’t have done the oxygen session? Or the tests in general? Did that hasten her death? Maybe she felt stressed? It all happened within 2 hours of getting to the vet. Could we had a night to say good bye and have a peaceful passing for her at home the next day? Thank you and appreciate any thoughts on this.
I have a video of her at home right before we went to the vet. You can see the shallow breathing but head and eyes alert. I am not sure if I can post video (new to this) but will try in comments. Thank you.

I use koyanskaya a lot, for obvious reasons of course, is it smart to bond limit break her to not waste bond points although I don't care all too much about her?
Since I only got back into fgo recently I have no idea how often we get the bond lamp thingies.

The truly remarkable (and horrifying) feature is its unpredictability. There's a 40% chance it'll work perfectly, a 35% chance it'll only partially function, a 20% chance it'll do nothing, and a 5% chance it'll explode spectacularly - taking out both the target and the Ork firing it. And most Ork Boyz would consider that last outcome an absolutely PROPPA result anyway
