I'm having a really bad introduction to the bambu ecosystem. I bought the A1 + AMS Lite combo black Friday deal, along with $150 of filament and supplies, and received an A1 that was defective right out of the box. Still have not received the bambu filaments I ordered 2 weeks ago so I ordered another $150 of filaments from Sunlu and Amazon which arrived fast.
Right out of the box, during its first calibration, my A1 randomly shutdown. I turned it off and on then it worked again. A few days later it shutdown again mid print and ruined the print. I tried a few different outlets, with and without surge protector, same issue. My house did not loose power and no other electronic in my house has been having issues (and I have a ton of smart devices that would gladly throw errors if the power goes out).
So I contacted Bambu, within a week of receiving the A1, and they said to check the cord and switch and see if the problem happens again. Basically "F off and see if it resolves itself". Well two weeks later, about 40% of my prints fail due to this and I'm tired of wasting filament...STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY BAMBU FILAMENT...so I contacted Bambu again this weekend asking for a replacement A1 and a return label if they want the defective unit back, still no reply.
I have a ton of holiday stuff I wanted to print for my kids, family and friends, I invested almost $1,000 so far between the printer, AMS, PLA, supplies, dryer etc, the holidays are fast approaching and sitting here with a defective printer waiting 3-4 days per customer service reply who I'll probably have to go back and forth with multiple times before they approve a replacement...I don't have the time.
On Amazon if you have a problem with a $5 purchase you get a live rep that handles your issue in a few minutes. Bambu is selling high end products ranging from a few hundred to over $1,000 and they couldn't rent an extra call center for a few months to handle the volume? They should have just sold through Amazon then if they didn't want to deal with the back end.
Sorry for the vent. I'm frustrated. The few times my A1 actually did complete a print I was amazed with the quality and how fast its able to complete prints. Once this issue is resolved I really am looking forward to being a long time customer...but what a bad first impression.
My question to the community. To help me reduce the amount of back and forth I have to go through with customer service, what do they usually do for a factory defective unit? Will they offer to send a replacement A1, or will they ask me to send the defective unit back for a refund and I buy another unit myself? If the latter, I would rather order the replacement now so I can get back to printing sooner and they can refund me for the defective one whenever they get around to it. I used Amex so as a very last resort I can do a charge back but I'd rather not as I intend to be a return customer.

When you are in your early 20s, you are fresh out of school and you feel like you have a lot of people you can talk to. You reach the age of 26, and boom! There's a lot happening in your life, personally and professionally. People who you were friends with are mere instagram accounts now. Add another year and you are a serious age now. You see your parents growing old. The few cousins and friends you were still close to, getting married. The feeling of exhaustion because you have a lot of thoughts that remain quietly inside you, itching to come out but who do you go to? It feels as if something is eating you up from inside. Does anybody else feel the same?

Have you ever felt really tall. Much taller than you actually are?
Back in the good old days, my older sister used to describe how when she got really angry at someone she felt like she was much taller than them and they looked really, really small in her sight. I guess this was a way for her not to feel threatened by them and to take them on for example if they messed with one of her kids. So it turns out that there is this condition called Alice in Wonderland syndrome which might explain this phenomenon.

Iām seeking your help in creating a list of components to build a PC for when the RTX 5090 is released.
A little backstory: Iāve never had a machine that could ārun any latest games at max settings.ā Iāve known about PCs and played games on them since I was a kid (back around the PlayStation era). But back then, my PCs couldnāt handle the games I wanted to playāGTA San Andreas, for example. Since then, Iāve always dreamed of building the strongest PC possible, one that could play any game I want at max settings.
Unfortunately, Iāve never been able to achieve that dreamāuntil now. I recently landed a good job that pays me well. It hasnāt been easy; Iāve been working 60 hours a week for the past 8 months. Iām exhausted, but I feel like itās time to treat myself.
So here we are, talking about the PC I should build once the RTX 5090 drops. My budget is somewhere between $5K and $10K. My main goal is to be able to play GTA 6 at 4K. I know we donāt have any details about the game or the card yet, but Iād love to start theory-crafting.
This is a big budget to some people and not so big to others, but I want to make sure the build is efficient and doesnāt waste my hard-earned money.
Some context:
- Iāve been out of the PC-building scene for about 5 years.
- I used to be an Intel fan, but Iāve heard theyāre not doing so well these days, so Iām open to AMD.
- Based on my quick research, the 9800X3D seems great but only for 1080p gaming, Iām unsure if itās good enough for a CPU-heavy game like GTA 6.
- It's time for solely DDR5 RAM and M2 storage. What should I know when choosing a motherboard for DDR5 RAM and M.2 storage?
- Any new tech should I be aware of?

Iām an FA who was leaning secure before I started dating this DA a month and a half ago. He has ghosted me three times, second time he broke things off due to a misunderstanding (because he didnāt want to talk).
Now that heās deactivating again, Iām being ghosted, and assume a break up. I wonāt try to salvage it if so, but how do I cope with stuff like this? It really rehashes my trauma and makes me feel defeated for speaking my mind.
I know he canāt help it but itās frustrating. And all he can do is pull away. I didnāt criticize him, but confronted a behavior I was uncomfortable with. Any thoughts from fellow FAs?

 | The start of this year I gave up smoking and have had a lot of stress after. I also swapped jobs a few years back to an inside environment with no light and lots of dry wood dust. I have had my eye swell up with dry itchy skin at the same time as my neck having a hive rash. It kept going and coming back again but now itās in the other eye. Before the start of this year Iāve not had any skin issues. I wasnāt sure if itās an allergic reaction but Iām pretty sure itās related to my stress.
