2024.11.26 11:19 KuromiUwU Nobody was ‘able to make it’ for my birthday party despite me giving everyone two month’s notice
I’m turning 23 this weekend, I haven’t properly celebrated my birthday since I was a kid so this year I decided I wanted to do a fantasy themed garden party with everyone I love and care about.
I’ve been planning it for over 7 months, gathering decor, ensuring my garden and pool are well kept, planning food and alcoholic beverages for everyone to enjoy. I have been so excited for so long, staying up late looking at inspiring for how I can decorate my backyard. I don’t even know how much money I’ve spent on decor and miscellaneous items to fit the theme let alone my $200 costume.
I made the event two months in advance as I wanted to give everyone time to book off work and put together their costumes. I wasn’t expecting everyone to come however I invited 15 people and hoped at least 10 would show up. Out of those 15, only four said they could make it. The rest cancelled today saying they have a shift on the day of my birthday despite me giving TWO MONTHS notice and asking people to please book the day off if they want to attend.
I feel guilty for being upset as I understand that as adults we have other obligations in life and that the world does not revolve around me however I just feel so uncared for. The people I hold closest to me and was so excited to spend time with didn’t even bother to book time off to see me.
I sent a message to everyone thanking them for considering spending the day with me but unfortunately due to unexpectedly low RSVPS I have to cancel. Instead I’m having a small drinking/movie/charcuterie board and swimming night with the people who could make it (which thankfully are some of my closest friends). I’m looking forward to this however I am still upset that something I have spent over half a year excited for wasn’t able to come to fruition and it makes me feel like a sad, lonely child again wondering why nobody likes me.
Sorry to vent and be a sad sack lol. Just wanted to get my feelings out without venting to my close friends who are able to attend and making them feel as if their attendance isn’t good enough for me.

So since the death company are essentially just a paint job for assault intercessors now if you wanna run them. would it not be possible to do a similar thing for other units and add a death company variant for things like terminators,blade guard and such or is there a lore reason preventing this? Cause I think it’d be pretty cool and would mean the death company detachment could apply to more units

2024.11.26 11:19 PreferenceOk7560 When is a good place to take a break
I've just not been enjoying reading tPoD, I liked LoC and aCoS(even though they had some boring moments) but I'm just so tired of 3 chapter stretches of absolutely nothing, e.g literally nothing happened every egwene chapter and elayne traveling to the kin farm, I found myself skimming though a lot of chapters. I usually take two-ish weeks to finish a book but I'm 65% through aCoS within like 3-4 days due to skimming over a few chapters. I used to read all the filler chapters earlier on but i just can't anymore since I feel they have been getting more boring. The only chapters I pretty much always enjoy are mat and rand chapters(even though every rand chapter is pure depression now) and mat is out of the picture for a whole book. I feel like taking a break would be good idea since SA 5 is coming out soon, I could take a break from WoT and read that then comeback refreshed, I just wanted to know when is a good time to take a break, should I finish book 8 and stop or read through 9 and then stop. I also really need to buy some ear protection since trying to read at school is tiring because of all the noise.

It progressively got to this point over the years. My skin has always been dry.
I think the debris consists of sock lint and dead skin and fungus. The smell is like that of rotten cheese.
Do I have fungal infection?

Just had a call off DWP to discuss the tribunal. They said how it works and that they'll send all my evidence to the tribunal and I'll get a copy too, and wanted to see if anything had changed.
