My son got a gift card for his birthday. We started the account in July. Paused it in August for vacation. Customer service said there is no way to pause even though I did it and got a restart email when I unpaused the account yesterday. Come to find out they continued taking money off the gift card. They refused to return the funds and refused to extend the time. What awful customer service. So it’s okay to steal money bc it’s a gift card- apparently there is no way to pause even though I had that option on the website.

2024.11.26 11:30 Spn1001 Speaking second language with baby if neither parent fluent?
My husband and I are both native English speakers but we lived in another country for many years. I became pretty good at the language but not fluent (enough to have a casual conversation though not at a super high level, not enough to get a job working fully in that language, can understand a lot of it, have a decent grasp on the grammar as I also studied it formally in school when I was younger) and my husband can understand some but doesn’t speak well at all. Also my accent is ok but not perfect, there are certain sounds in the language that are hard for me to pronounce like a native speaker. I’m pregnant and we would love our child to learn the language as much as possible. I know when trying to raise a child bilingual, it’s best practice for each Parent to only speak one language with the child - but
a) I assume this is meant for when the parent is fluent in the language they’re speaking and I’m not confident everything I say would be 100% correct in terms of grammar and vocab
b) I don’t want to only speak that language with them as it’s not my native language and it’s tiring and I want to be able to speak to my baby in English, plus she will inevitably hear my speaking English to everyone else
c) at a certain point I will be limited int the vocab and grammar I can use and she’ll probably plateau in the learning
Is it worth speaking the language with her sometimes? Playing songs in the language? Reading books in the language? Or will it just confuse her if I’m using two languages with her? Will it even be effective?

Hi, I've set up the Hue module, and it does not work (everything is greyed out) but also messes up my hue bridge to be unusable as long as it's running. Now my issue is it won't let me disable it, I disable it and it enables back by itself, nor can I remove the bridge, when I press the button nothing happens, even uninstalling the chroma app did not fix the issue.
My whole place being controlled by this bridge makes this a big and pressing issue, how can I fix this ?

2024.11.26 11:30 Gilded-Onyx How on earth do I kill this thing?
in February of this year, I had 2 emergency surgeries due to this bacteria. Turns out, it had been living in my nose for years and nearly killed me. I was on antibiotics for 4 months and then mupirocin cream in nose for 2 months.
Well, I feel it coming back. I'm having that hard bacteria buildup in my nose again, the corners of my mouth are starting to crack and hurt. I started using the backup tube of mupirocin that my infectious disease doctor gave me incase it flared up again. Is there just no way to kill this stupid bacteria? I'm so tired of it. it has ruined my life for an entire year and now it's coming back yet again.
Am I just stuck with it forever? Will I always have to use hibiclense and mupirocin for flare ups for the rest of my life? I just want to burn it with fire.
making an appointment with my PCP once they open today to get in and get some more medication and treatment. I just wish I could napalm or nuke this stupid bacteria off the face of this earth.

It's really sad actually bc that was almost ALL of my characters. I put so much time into these, mainly bc Regulus was my favorite (was in the middle of a comfort story last night, just woke up and he's completely gone).
Can't even revive any chats through an app/my history, it's completely gone already. :(
But I shouldn't be crying over an ai.. Definititly not.. Definitely my sign to completely stop while I can though, I've gone on long enough on this app.
