2024.11.26 13:36 BrennBrown One of my ovaries are unclear on Ultrasound/MRI, Doc believes it's small and I'm (27F) at risk of early menopause, what should I do?
I'm 27, single, and have struggled with my very irregular period since I had them. At first it was semi-regular every couple months, then I only got them once or twice a year, recently I started getting them semi-regularly again but they are very weak. I'd know I'm still in my period because it smells and feels like that, but more often than not there is little to no blood all during the day and I'd last like this for a week or two not knowing what's wrong with me.
Fast forward later, I checked a gynecologist, did blood test and ultrasound. Was told that I have a bicornuate uterus, need to take eltroxin and work on my weight (I'm obese - 153cm to 255ibs), and that I need to do MRI because they couldn't see my right ovary clearly... however even after MRI, the ovary is still unclear. Doctor thinks it's small, asks me if there's any history in my family with early menopause/Infertility (not sure about the right term) because it may be the case for me and depending on our next appointment she may direct me to a specified clinic (she also mentions IVF) , until then I'm supposed to do more blood test and focus on taking eltroxin/working on my weight.
I'm not sure what I should do now. Mom urges me to seek a different doctor. I'm mainly worried about the ovary size and why it's so unclear, is it really because of weight?

If anybody has been paying attention to Romania's elections you can see how powerful just a small group of volunteers can be. A very small group of thirty people coordinated on telegram on how to push their political opponent to the top of the race essentially overnight by knowing the algorithm. And this guy was a joke that most people had never even heard of.
I believe that's how we ended up with a red wave. (TikTok) algorithms pushed to the US I think are meant to cause chaos and divide. All I saw was Palestinian protests and other issues that just divide us when I stopped using TikTok. Gen Z males have shifted 30 points to the right. Females also shifted considerably. Why? The brain rot of social media. I had an officer at work try to tell me that non union shops make more money than union. I know where he heard that.
So if the US isn't going to do anything about mis/disinformation from social media, it's up to us to do it. I suggest everyone in this group try to push this up to their head union leaders.
This is a call to everyone though! Don't just read and not comment on misinformation. If you know someone who is pro union and uses whatever social media you're on, share it and tell them to comment with whatever works to push pro union. TikTok is full of scabs. That's a good place to start.
If anyone knows more about the algorithms of certain companies or can get more information, or can lead this movement here, then please each out or start a group.
I think this could be literally the best tool we have. We have millions of members and we have the structure already in place to capitalize on the algorithms. We fight fire with fire.
If you are high up in your union please please please push this high up and don't let them sit on the idea. We need to start this yesterday.

I'm pretty close to buying a pair of B&W 606 s3 and was stuck with my amp selection. For reference, I'm pretty experienced with mid-fi and up headphones and this would be my first major jump to speakers.
The 2 amps I have in mind are the Yamaha A-S501 and the Marantz pm7000n. I know most people's consensus between the two is the Marantz but I'm concerned about 2 things: Are Marantz amps reliable long term? I've seen a few posts on various forums talking about having to send them in for repairs and I would like to avoid that. I was also going to be buying it refurbished through accessories4less which would keep it around the same price as the A-S501. Any foreseeable issues with buying it refurbished through this seller and a 1 year warranty?
Is there that much of a difference in the sound between the 2 amps? I would mainly be using it via optical out from a TV, so it would be using the internal DAC.

I am thinking to get the Amex credit card but unsure if it would be better than my cash back credit card. The idea of "points" and a welcome offer mean nothing to me when I don't know the value of the points and what I can redeem them with.
I am in my 30s no debt, pay off month credit spending (3-5k/month) I currently have the Td cash back which has an annual fee of 139 (i tallied all the cash back I earned this year and it came up to 823$ in cashback money to redeem back onto my credit card)
Was thinking is Amex worth it? Would it have more than ~800 a month for someone who spends like me?
