 | So i do a lot of night photography with strobes and I've always wanted to bring a fog machine to locations but I never have a reliable power source. Now that I have a colorado I have the outlet but it's rated at I think 400w... most cheaper fog machines I see are 500w. If I were to attempt to run one what is the likelihood I blow a fuse or something? Is more dependant on load and time the fog machine is on for? I remember as a child back in the 90s, the decorated bullock cart was the mostly used mode of transport for taking the deceased to the crematorium or burial ground. So obviously they will move at a slow pace with the family walking along. Chennai before the IT boom wasn't so congested and so while it slowed down traffic, it was just a few mins of inconvenience for other road users.
Last week, a funeral procession on a very busy route brought the traffic to a complete standstill and it took over 30 mins to cross 200 meters. The youths (not sure if they are hired or part of the family ) walking along seemed very drunk, making obscene dance moves, were throwing flowers at women drivers, littered the road and what not. I don't see how such processions are paying any respect to the deceased . I started early from work to reach home and login for the next meeting and could not make it. Could see the frustration with other road users stuck like me. People could be traveling to hospitals or to catch a bus and their entire day could be ruined.It's understandable if a heavily decorated vehicle is moving slower than usual pace but these very slow processions in a van at maatu vandi speed in 1st gear blocking the entire road feels atrocious and self centred.
What are your thoughts about people doing this?

I've always rooted for Apple as I'd love nothing more than to see American industry excell, especially in the electronics space. I used to be all Appled out with iPhone, iPad, and a custom ordered MacBook pro in 2013 that would still be on par with most of today's computers. I went to engineering school though and learned apple was more of a marketing company than a tech company. I found out I could get brand new tech in a Samsung rather than 4 year old Samsung and Sony parts wrapped in a shiny case with an apple on it. Since then I've been using Samsung but have been waiting on the right product to take me back into the apple ecosystem.( All this time I have a MAX iPhone work phone so dont come at me like im clueless)
Then I see the m4 chip. All the advertisements make it look groundbreaking. I had heard the m1 and m2 were making it so apple was competitive so this new m4 ipad pro looked like a BEAST. Samsung ditched their lidar scanners so apple really had a product that looked perfect for me.
I dropped $2k on it and it seemed great. Beautiful display and the apple pencil is really good and maybe gives the S pen a run for the money. It was all fun and games until you try to split screen. The thing can't load a YouTube video and look at the appstore at the same time without beachballing forever. I mean CANNOT do two things at once. This is extremely disappointing. I know its not really fair to compare to the S23 Ultra but my Dad's free android they give you with your phone plan can run two apps better than this $2k shiny box. Split screen is an essential part of my workflow so this is a dealbreaker
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know because I don't think I can return it. I've tried resetting, closing all open app, clearing cache, all that good stuff. Everyone in my industry asks me how I keep track of and process so much information in the field and I never really answer but the real reason is : split screen (and hard work)
