Hey Y'all I'm a newish convert l've been involved the church for a few years now, I got baptised 8 months ago. I know the church's stance on tattoos, l've also never been into tattoos UNLESS they have a deep meaning and it's something you want to carry with you forever and holds a special value in your heart. That being said, I was in a long relationship of many years, with another member, who actually introduced me to the church, we are not OFFICIALLY together due to his mission preparation, however we are still together (if that makes sense?), we are planning on rekindling and getting back together after his mission, because right now there are too many obstacles. Back to my point, I had a miscarriage not long ago, we named the baby, we never had official paperwork naming it or anything like that or just any paperwork in general, I never actually registered the miscarriage with hospitals or doctors so I have not had medical attention, (I don't know why I am saying this it is not relevant) but I want to get a tattoo of our baby's name, and his surname is the babies surname. Would it be strange to get my babies name tattooed seeing as l'd also be getting my exes surname tattooed? I don't see an issue with it because at the end of the day, he is the father and he named the baby so either way he would be tattooed on me forever in a sense regardless of the surname. I don't want people to think I am crazy for getting my exes surname tattooed considering we are not married and I think for your baby to have their fathers last name you have to be married? And considering we broke the LOC

Like the title says I’m wondering if I should wait for a 50 series card or get 4080 super now. I’m new to pc building and used to have a prebuilt with i7-11700k with 3060 ti and wanted to upgrade. So I bought a 9800x3d and planned on waiting until 50 series while using the new cpu with my 3060 ti. Safe to say I am bottlenecked out the wazoo (obviously but I didn’t know it’d be this bad) and I’m getting pretty eh fps on most of the games I like to play. My budget is $1,200ish in that general area and I’m wondering if waiting for the 50 series would really be worth it instead of just buying 4080 super and sticking with it for a long long time.

2024.11.26 11:55 SwirlingAbsurdity Anyone had a repair of a degenerative tear?
I’m scheduled for surgery in the new year but just saw the consultant letter to my GP which confirms my lateral tear is degenerative! I’m really surprised to be honest as I’m only 37 and have been active since my early 20s, but it also explains why I didn’t have any one incident I can point to.
Surgeon did say he would attempt a repair if possible, but the letter says it’s not too likely. So I’m just wondering if anyone on here has had a successful repair with a degenerative tear?
I guess the risk of resection isn’t as bad if I already have the beginnings of arthritis, but still, I’m quite annoyed!

I haven’t really thought about this situation for a few months already until I was browsing this sub today and figured id make a post about it. This is just an observation that I made and I wanted to share it with you guys. Just a bit of information as I introduce myself, I’m F17 and a student. I posted on a WOMAN over 30 advice sub a few months back on how to deal with a sexist comment my dad made. He basically was ranting in the car about how ALL women can’t drive (i don’t live with him btw only see him a few times a month bc my parents are divorced). I asked the older women in the sub how to deal with this comment and not let it affect me and I received a good amount of responses the next day. What did I observe? Out of all the encouragement from the women, there were four comments telling me how “disgraceful” I was for shaming my father (someone who I should be grateful for because many children don’t even have one.) and telling me how I should delete my post. Mind you, I never said anything hurtful about my dad or how I “hate him” for his comment, I only strictly and respectfully asked how to deal with said comment being a woman myself. All. of. them. we’re male accounts. ON A GODDAM WOMANS SUB. Of course they were downvoted to oblivion, but I just find it funny how all of them were men I guess hiding in a woman’s advice forum, ready to pounce.
