There is something rather depressing about watching a middle aged man sitting alone in huge house, yelling slurs into a phone by himself. If one watched this scene play out from the outside without context it'd be a disturbing sight. A man, who has to pay for (mediocre) female company (and can't even keep that going). Not only that but gets absolutely dunked on by the woman he paid to laarp as his girlfriend.
I've a good friend who is a complete bum. These days he lives in a rented garage and sleeps on an army folding bed next to his car. And even he managed to have a girlfriend without having to pay or sponsor her.
I find it sad to see a man who has to call in his mom for help against mean comments on the internet. A man who can't stop talking about the things he "doesn't care about". And while he pays 90k dollars rent a month, for his cold empty house, some basement dwellers, haters and trolls live in his head completely rent free. And many of these so called haters go home to their loving families in the evening.
So, in order to feel better said individual spends money on handbags and purses, which I would associate to be a rather feminine trait. If this entire situation has taught me one thing, it's never to trust a man with my money who wears ripped, white skinny jeans in his mid 30s and refuses to wear shirts.

I like the SFG Warmachine app. It is good, efficient, and is free for the essential part. So why would anyone want to pay 5,49€ per month ? Serious question, on the one hand I'd like to subscribe, it seems a bit steep though, being a monthly subscription.
You get to make all the lists you want, yeah OK, this isn't really much of a boon though, because we can save lists elsewhere and use the same 6 slots over and over...If really necessary. I think it's great that SFG haven't done the vile disgusting GW way where the app allows one list and only for index factions, once the army book is released, then you have to subscribe...Or else.
In the Warmachine app you also get access to the background material. Now a book a month could easily cost more than 5.49€ but who has the time to read? (maybe I should make time rather than typing on reddit?) and the thing is the flouffe is available only while subscribed. Subscription ended and it's gone. Can't go back to nostalgically flip through the pages. No going back to check just how did Deneghra seduce Caine? We're truly in the age of "you will own nothing" but I can't say I'm liking it.
Should we ponder and think back to the days of the PP war room app, where we could pay subscription or lump sum and it would be for ever updated and access to everything? Well, forever didn't last too long. All the money that went into that is long gone.
Then again someone is writing this stuff and those people deserve to get paid. We can't expect sales revenues from the Dark souls board game to cover everything.
So that's the dilemma, I kinda want to subscribe, but it feels a bit expensive and a bit constrictive as a monthly subscription. So what else could they possibly put behind the paywall for a playa (be they filthy casual or sweaty tryhard) to make the jump? What could possibly go behind a paywall that wouldn't deter from the idea of a free and accessible game?

Driver's license - I live in Kansas and I think if I'm reading correctly I cannot change my driver's license to say Male instead of Female? Does anyone know if this is still correct and if there's anyway to get around this?
Birth certificate - here's where I get a little confused. I was born in California but live in Kansas. I believe Kansas won't let you change your birth certificate either but since I was born in California wouldnt I go through them? And if so, how exactly do I go about doing that? If I was able to change my birth certificate, would I then be able to change my driver's license?

10 year old Border Collie X Kelpie, Pepper, nervous nelly with increasing anxiety the past few years and mild leash/barrier reactivity. We've tried a couple of meds for her anxiety, but I was turned off trying anymore after the meds we tried killed her appetite and she's already a lean, low food motivated dog. Recently prescribed CBD oil for her, which is only helping a tiny bit. Haven't ever had gabapentin recommended by a vet, but Pepper got prescribed some today specifically for future vet appointments. Reading into it, I'm now curious if gabapentin could be a long-term daily option for her anxiety? Can't find much on long term safety for senior dogs, or on overall energy levels aside from reducing anxiety. I will bring it up with my vet anyway, but want some thoughts first so I'm not asking her a million questions about it in a short appointment.

So I'm early career into a specialized tech role, devops. Its rare to get the level of responsibility I have this early. And working on modern tech. I was doing data as a first job for 1.5 years and now I'm 6 months into Devops.
I'm handling it extremely well. 3 out of 4 other people quit (mundane reasons) and I'm keeping everything running while still being able to roll out decent sized improvements.
But,, as the title says, I'm trans and this is the middle east. I'm leaving, its just an issue of when.
My options are:
1) asylum, but that would a very funny gap in the resume
2) keep working til I get an offer from somewhere else, but that might take years..
3) university, I've saved enough for that
4) a friend wants to marry me, but I'll then be in the US and that's scary. Does open doors though.
I'd love to hear from other trans people if they are kicking around here
