 | We were having awesome opinions, so I would like to keep this going Background: Shooter for 28 years, served 5 years as an Army Officer, deployed twice, currently an SOT. I understand the purpose of a plate carrier (protect the critical kill zone from rifle threats) when there is the availability of medical assets to treat wounds sustained outside of the plate. I currently own a Ferro Slickster with front/back/side plates, and I also own various level 3a soft armor vests to adjust to different potential situations. My question to those who swear by PCs(specifically only rocking front/rear plates) for use in an WROL scenario: why settle for such little coverage? I get the “i feel better knowing my vitals are covered” argument, but if thats the case, why not wear side plates or cover way more of your torso from pistol threats by incorporating soft armor? Lets say you dont have access to a surgical center, and you get hit outside the plate. What’s the plan? TQs, gauze, and pressure bandages are just temporary solutions. My ex fiancé reached out with intent to get back together and we talked for a few days, same as my ex bf but no intent to rekindle, and today I blocked my ex fiancé and left a goodbye message and I blocked my ex bf last night after spiraling. Since blocking both of them I feel amazing, but was it the right choice?

 | Looking for some advice. I'm working on restoring this old house and winter is coming fast. There isn't a drip edge here and its allowing water to run underneath and soak into the wood inside the house. It seems like there's a piece of decorative trim nailed to the rafter board and that's where the shingles end. The shingles are lifted up and away from the wood so im not sure how to just slip a drip edge underneath so that it actually seals. What's the best way forward here? I’m seeking advice about a defaulted 401(k) loan. Here’s what happened: 1. I took out a 401(k) loan and selected the option for repayments to be deducted from my payroll. 2. My employer never set up the repayment process, and I wasn’t informed that I needed to notify HR to initiate it. 3. When I noticed the issue, I contacted HR and payroll. They told me it was my responsibility to notify them, but this requirement wasn’t communicated when I took the loan. 4. The 401(k) provider informed me that they cannot assist unless a letter is sent. I was told to draft the letter for the company president to send, but I’ve had no updates, and I suspect I’ll end up having to pay the penalty for the default.
While I understand I might not be able to reverse the penalties, I feel this situation shouldn’t go unchecked. Was my employer responsible for setting up repayments after I selected that option? Are there any legal actions I can take to address this, or is there another way to escalate the issue?
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.
