Hello, I have a really annoying issue with my phone screen not staying off while on call. I canât stand the fact that when on call the call screen stays on and can be interacted with even if the phone is locked and in my pocket. I cycle to work and keep my phone in my pocket. Due to sweat and or rain it happens really often that I either hang up on the other person or mute the call. I thought that if in pocket the rise to wake and tap to wake feature would be disabled but thatâs not the case. What can I do to mitigate this issue without completely disabling rise and tap to wake all the time? Is there a way to force the iPhone to be unlocked with Face ID in order to interact with the call ui? The same problem sometimes happens even when not on a call: today I found my phone disabled for 15 minutes after too many failed attempts at unlocking. Any suggestions? Thank you!

2024.11.26 16:32 screw_all_the_names My GF's family doesn't want me over for Thanksgiving (and probably Xmas)
So this year for Thanksgiviing, we asked my GF's family if we could invite my mom over for Thanksgiving since my mom only really has me left, I figured a family get together would be nice. We were intending on bringing food to offset the extra person.
She asked her sister this last Friday. Who said she'd have to ask her nana, where it is hosted. It isn't until this morning, 2 days before t-day, that she texts back saying they don't want me, at tbanksgiving. (And by extension, my mom)
Now my GF is upset because we've been together 2 years and some, and I've gone to their last 2 thanksgivings and xmas's with no issue. The reason she said is because I'm "awkward". Being around 20+ people I don't know will do that to me.
But the only solutions I can see are. 1, GF goes without me. I don't really mind if they dont want me there, but I know that is all she will be thinking about the whole time.
- I go anyway, and just ignore everyone. GF says if I do that they would probably stop talking to her.
I don't personally mind if they don't want me there, although I've never done anything to any of them other than be a bit awkward I guess. I'm upset that they drop this on GF out of nowhere. GF doesn't want to lose them as a family because she already lost one family, and they took her in.

2024.11.26 16:32 the-Buster My first ever build
This is actually my very first Personal Computer. Always had to use the family computer or laptops, with my most recent being a 2019 Asus TUF gaming laptop.
Really happy I got it too post & boot first time with no issues. I always feared messing up building a computer so always avoided the idea. Bought an anti-static bracelet and connected to my PSU while I built so I'm gonna assume it worked.
Took me 5 hours to build last night. BIOS Instaflash took about 5 mins for the motherboard.
Only issue I had was from my own fault installing CPU cooler first before connecting the CPU cables to the motherboard. Took like 30 mins trying to squeeze them in with the Cooler in the way. Won't make that mistake again.
So far temps for the CPU seem to idle around 41°c- 43°c with maximum on Cinebench 24 going to 88°c on average. It did spike to 91°c once but never seen it go there since. Hope this means I applied the thermal paste correctly.
Plan on selling the RTX 4060 and getting the RTX 5070 TI whenever they release. Didn't wanna buy something high-end now when new GPU's are around the corner.

I havenât watched the Netflix documentary yet but I have been following this case for the past 28 years.
Have any of you ever seen the TV show Dexter? First a brief overview of the show: Itâs a show about a guy who works for the police station who is a serial killer. He only targets bad guys.
In the show, Dexter picks out who will be his next victim and starts stalking that person. He breaks into their house and goes snooping around through their stuff in order to collect information about the person (information that will prove the person is a bad guy.)
I believe that an intruder killed JonBenet and that it was a man who had been stalking the family for some time.
There is SOME evidence to support this theory but the rest is just my personal belief.
The evidence that supports this theory is as follows:
The killer knew his way around the Ramsey family home extremely well. He knew what door opened JonBenetâs bedroom. He knew what door not to open to not disturb the parents. He knew his way to the basement. He was comfortable enough in the house that he used a yellow notepad from the kitchen drawer.
Absolutely no chance in hell was this his first time in the house.
People often question how the killer could be comfortable enough to sit and write out the lengthy note during the crime. But how do we know the note wasnât written beforehand? How do we know he didnât take the notepad out of the house and bring it back in?
Furthermore, the odd coincidence in the note- $118,000 was the amount the ransom note asked for and it was also the amount of John Ramseyâs bonus that year. I think the intruder saw that amount on a prior trip to the house.
No forced entry? People keep using that as evidence that the parents did it. Nope. The killer 100% had a key to the house. I believe he had been stalking the house for months prior to the crime, and made a copy of a spare key laying around.
