Every time I smoke I end up getting a really bad wheeze at night which doesn’t allow me to sleep. It can sometimes even last all day which is extremely annoying. I can barely walk up the steps without being out of breath. Whenever I quit it goes away the next day and my breathing goes back to normal. I took a one week break, went back to smoking but the same thing happened again. I’m 20 btw been using for ab 2 years almost daily now. Anyone else going through something similar? Do I have to switch to edibles for the rest of my life?

2024.11.26 16:37 asgreatasitgets Why do people always complain about things that happen in LA on this sub?
I feel like as someone who is born in LA, it feels like someone new every day from out of state or visiting asks things that almost feel like it aims to change the way LA works.
For example, why does LA have so many gardeners? Why does LA play loud music? Why does LA have no metro?
I know I’ll get told off by people who are not originally from LA (which is where this sub skews) but all that to me is home. Even the most boring & nuisance things there’s always someone with a link to “report”. There are people in LA who lived here before you, and even the police/ cops respect certain ways of living. It feels like if someone steps out of line on this perfect image of LA, it’s immediately disgusting and out of “order” but there is a lot of social rules in a city like LA that don’t get respected.
I can see why people hate Californians whenever they move to Texas or Vegas, they probably do the same thing people do here.

For context, my long distance boyfriend and I have been dating for a year already. Throughout the relationship, we have developed trust for each other so it does not make sense why someone would lie. My boyfriend lied about moving to this university and because of that, we had no proper contact for 6 months.
I am a very supportive girlfriend, to the point I'd shout his name and where school he has from. I did not mind what school it was, as long as he is happy with it. That is when I have thought about "why did he even need to lie to his own girlfriend?" I'd support him wherever he goes and would be there everytime for him. I am not his family or relative he's trying to impress. I am supposed to be your girlfriend that you should be honest about because established trust. I trusted you and you broke it. That lie broke me because lying about something to your partner is already a red flag, no matter how smalk it is.
During the no-contact phase, I found this guy at college and we had a couple of interactions. And those interactions made me somewhat fall for him? Maybe it was due to proximity but I thought about "I did not deserve being lied to, so I deserve better."
I have talked about this about my friends and the responses are somewhat mixed. Most of them do not like the idea of having crushes while in a relationship, calling ME a red flag or "the asshole" while some are open to the idea. What do you think? What should I do at this point?

Even after a few decades into adulthood, he still couldn’t bring himself to defy the dragon’s summons. His father’s simple beckoning was enough to stir the same old fear that had always lurked within him, and he didn’t understand why. His father was ancient now, frail and withered, hardly the imposing figure he once was, so it felt impossible to explain why the idea of refusing him still seemed unthinkable. Deep down, perhaps he feared the unspoken consequences of rebellion. Maybe it was guilt for all the things his father had done to him when he as a young dragonet, actions that haunted him even now. The urge to shout, to scream in his father’s face, burned within him, but the fear planted in his heart had long since grown into something monstrous. It had become a gnarled tree, its roots deep and poisonous, choking any thought of defiance. Despite being the commander of a vast dragon army, a seasoned warrior with scars from countless battles, he found himself bowing to the will of his scrawny father. With a single 'tsk' and a flick of his tail, he moved forward, resigned to his fate. Settling beside him, he braced himself for what was to come, ready to endure the lectures and anger that would inevitably follow. No matter how far he had risen, how strong he had become, in the presence of his father, he was always small. "How are those two faring?" Sastrugi’s voice cut through the air like a blade of ice, his tone carrying the weight of command. His sharp, pale gaze locked onto Peak, who glanced over at his brother Scorch, still hissing in low, angry tones at his wife. Peak sighed, his exhaustion evident, but the weary sound only deepened the irritation in his father’s eyes. "What in three moons do you expect?" Peak muttered, his voice low with irritation as he glared at Sastrugi. His father responded with a sharp bearing of teeth, his eyes flashing a warning. "Don’t you dare use that tone with me." Sastrugi growled, gripping his son by the ears. Peak’s talons twitched, aching to tear away his father’s oppressive hold, yet his body refused to respond, locked in some unknown paralysis. Nearby, his mother, Lahar, sat idly with her talons occupied in knitting, never sparing them a glance. Her face remained blank with indifference, as if the scene before her was no more than a passing breeze on a quiet afternoon. Page 28 (Peak) Peak tore himself free from Sastrugi’s old talons, slipping through his father’s weakened grasp with ease. He darted just out of reach before the elder dragon could make another feeble attempt to catch him. With an annoyed flick of his ears, Peak shook off the sensation of his father's lingering touch, his expression souring as he cast a sharp glance back at both of his parents. His dark eyes narrowed in irritation. Sastrugi made a feeble attempt to grab his son again, but a sharp pain shot through his spine, forcing him back down with a grimace. His joints protested as he tried to lurch up, only to collapse once more onto the pile of pillows beneath him. He settled into his seat in resignation. Lahar regarded him with a disdainful look, her talons busy knitting a crochet piece without pause. Barely sparing him a second glance. Sastrugi let out a short, bitter huff, his icy breath curling in the air as he rolled his eyes. Lahar’s silent reproach was nothing new. She’d long since made her disappointment in him clear, though he rarely acknowledged it. To him, their entire brood had become a festival of incompetence, each dragon more grating and unsatisfactory than the last. But none annoyed him quite like Magma, his youngest son. “Where is your brother?” Sastrugi’s voice trembled, sharp and thin, as his gaze swept across the hatchery like a predator scanning for a missing meal. His eyes, cold as frost, were tinged with irritation as they combed through the space for any sign of the missing whelp. His talons tapped impatiently against the cushions, his tone growing harsher with every word. Magma, the son who seemed to exist solely to test his patience, was nowhere to be found. Sastrugi’s tail lashed in frustration. “Where is that lazy alligator-head?” Peak was standing a few wing beats away, not moving at all. His glare deepened, but he remained silent, stubbornly refusing to answer his father. His father’s incessant demands were tiresome. If Magma wasn’t here, it wasn’t his problem. Sastrugi’s head whipped around, catching Peak’s stare. “Well, don’t just stand there gawking at me like some dull-brained lizard! Go find him!” “Tss... fine,” Peak muttered, rolling his eyes as he turned on his heels, adjusting the armor strapped tightly around his scales. He had no interest in chasing after his wayward brother, but it was better than standing around and enduring more of Sastrugi's bitter nagging. Peak gripped his royal blade, the weight familiar in his talons, like he was heading out on yet another hunt. But this time, his prey was his younger brother, again. He stared at the blade’s polished surface, catching the reflection of his tired, narrowed eyes, a faint smirk creeping across his face. Chasing after Magma had become a tedious routine, just another family chore he’d resigned himself to. His eyes lingered on the cold steel as it caught the light. For me, my biggest issue is taking things personally, even if I don't verbalise it. A snide remark that someone else may be able to brush off has me spiralling in to self hate. I'm so tired of being this sensitive, I was always told I would grow out of it but I haven't. Please does anybody have any advice at all??? And please, for the love of God, do not tell me that being sensitive is a superpower or that its actually a positive thing.

Linking my original post here for more details. A few maintenance guys and plumbers showed up this past weekend and determined that the drain pipe that runs from outside the back door UNDER my entire house to the street is somehow compromised and causing an excess of water to come up through the concrete pad below the vinyl flooring. They want to dig it up, and reroute it to the drain pipe in my laundry room.
My landlord is being super nonchalant about it like it’s not somehow a MASSIVE inconvenience to have a trench running through my kitchen and dining room in the middle of December. I don’t even know where to begin asking questions, or asking for some type of concessions. Do I ask for a discount on my rent? For her to put me up in a hotel until it’s done? We have pets, and I work remotely from home. We will also have no laundry and limited access to the entire downstairs of my house. She claims they will be done within a week, but what if that’s not the case? If they uncover something bigger when they start working? Is this grounds for my lease to be negotiated/broken and my deposit back? I don’t really want to move as we just moved in October 1st, but this is like a giant red flag.

Hi all, is it ok to allow local subnets through UFW?
I have a VPS with a ZeroTier exit node and I want to expose ssh only to my home network (192.168.1.0/24) and my ZeroTier network (192.168.196.0/24).
Usually I would set up fail2ban, change the ssh port and leave it at that, but since I figured out VNC could always be used to access the server via the hosting providers portal i figured id try withour fail2ban, which i find is sometimes not working correctly.
Ive made the following rules:
-A ufw-user-input -p tcp --dport 9993 -j ACCEPT -A ufw-user-input -p udp --dport 9993 -j ACCEPT ### tuple ### allow any 2222 0.0.0.0/0 any 192.168.196.0/24 in -A ufw-user-input -p tcp --dport 2222 -s 192.168.196.0/24 -j ACCEPT -A ufw-user-input -p udp --dport 2222 -s 192.168.196.0/24 -j ACCEPT ### tuple ### allow any 2222 0.0.0.0/0 any 192.168.1.0/24 in -A ufw-user-input -p tcp --dport 2222 -s 192.168.1.0/24 -j ACCEPT -A ufw-user-input -p udp --dport 2222 -s 192.168.1.0/24 -j ACCEPT Is this the correct way to achieve a secure server that is only accessible via ssh from my own networks? Maybe the 0.0.0.0/0 any 192.168.1.0/24 in is redundant there.
I understand i can also just set ssh to listen to certain addresses and ranges without fail2ban, but having tried that was locked out till i changed to the above user rules. I guess there needs to be some routing for this way to work.

Okay this is an odd question that I never thought I would have to ask but can’t seem to find an answer.
Ever since become pregnant my perineum is very dry and becomes almost cracked to the point where it’s bleeding. I’m not sure if the extra wiping from peeing so much or what…I’m not dry down there otherwise so not sure what to do here. Any experience with this?

Hi guys,
My interest for keyboard is pretty new, I past 8 years on a membrane Logitech «gaming » Keyboard (yes it got RGB lol… I was young and dumb).
And two day ago I bought a HE keyboard on sale (steel series) with 45g weight force switch.
I was curious about exchanging with yours opinions, so there are mine:
- 0,1 actuation is wonderful, very fast and responsive
- The feeling is really strange, and the key is harder to press than a regular keyboard. Or maybe it’s just me who got used to a old membrane and the spring of this keyboard are very new ?
- Rapid trigger feel awful, because I have to maintain the press (and it’s hard) or it will cancel my action. This is particularly true for moving forward. I can adjust the sensitivity but when I do that I got almost no benefit to activate rapid trigger in the first place.
- SOCD, this is gold because this doesn’t have the CON I believe Rapid trigger have and allow very fast changing direction.
Are you agree with that ? Am I missing something ? Feel free to correct me I’m a keyboard noob.
I hope this post will teach to people who haven’t try HE something too.

Did X ever talk about distractions from consuming entertainment, content etc that do not align with our purpose? If so or not, do you have advice on how to reduce such distractions? I waste too much time online, consuming other people's content but I really want to get rid of it all and just focus on reading books, journaling, meditating, working out etc but every time I end up bouncing back
