 | Hi all!! I have been studying my chart and I am just looking for more insight and perspectives. I wonder if the way I’m understanding my chart is biased or in some way skewed. I want to know more about how my Venus and Mars interact with my Sun Moon and Rising sign. As well as my 10th house being so small versus my first house. Also, is it different if there's an article ("a boy" or "the boy"), as opposed to calling someone "Boy" as a name? (E.g., "You need to stay off my property, Boy." vs "The boy across the street has a cool bike.")

I will always adore the first Mega Man X game but lately I've been trying to look at it from a more balanced perspective and that starts by playing through it in a not so optimal way.
X's dash may be his most crucial upgrade over Rock, either that or the wall jump. But you only get the dash from Chill Penguin's stage. On replay you always know to go for Chill Penguin first so you can get the dash and complete an easy stage but your first time around you won't know that unless you look it up.
So how is the Mega Man X dashless experience? Pretty bad. This game needs the dash. Sure, each stage can be completed without it but Mega Man X is just a much flatter game compared to any classic game, the dash just makes going through these stages way more fun. It makes me kind of wish you just got the dash in the opening stage, especially since this just means that stages can't be designed to take full advantage of the dash.
In boss fights it honestly didn't feel like it made too much of a difference but I think Storm Eagle is a lot more interesting without the dash.
I also tried to beat the 8 mavericks without their weakness to see how good these fights are when you aren't absolutely ruining their day with their weakness. You're unlikely to beat Chill Penguin with his weakness outside of the rematch but I'd say he's fine, I just wish the ice statues and wind attack he does were more of a threat. Storm Eagle is a decent fight. Flame Mammoth is also decently fun even if he can be really easy if he just decides not to shoot fire. Spark Mandrill is shockingly fun when you don't Spark Mandrill him. Armored Armadillo is terrible, they really dropped the ball here, I'm not sure what they were thinking, no fight should be this awful without their weakness. I don't even think this is fixed in the remake but I may be wrong. Launch Octopus is another awful fight, I gave up trying to beat him without his weakness or the dash. He is just projectile spam which is really annoying. It also sucks that his one interesting attack, the little whirlpool thing, is very easy to avoid and dull to deal with because he's invincible. Boomer Kuwanger is decent I'd say, though he can be quite annoying, not very hard though. He just loves teleporting all over the place. I think Sting Chameleon is pretty good without his weakness, I just wish he was a bit faster since it can be a bit dull waiting for him.
