How would you go about adding insulation, to the upstairs walls, in the attic space? I imagined 2x4 running horizontally on the wall frames and adding another r-13, but horizontally (figured 2x4s would be easier to nail this way). 2024.11.26 18:41 Low-Possession2717 High risk of hemorrhage for C-section- what’s the chance of death?
I (29F) am pregnant with my second child. This pregnancy has been vastly different from my first in that I had a C-section with him but no complications from it. I waited almost 20 months in between pregnancies to even try to get pregnant (which I quickly did) and this pregnancy has been literal hell on earth.
In summary, I found out that my cervix was shortened at 22 weeks and by 24 weeks I had no measurable cervix. I had a rescue cerclage and the surgeon who performed this “hit the same vessel twice” (how it was explained to me) resulting in over 600ml blood loss. She explained this is the most she ever had in her 30+ year career as 15-20ml is typical.
Because of this, I’ve continued to have bleeding off and on and have been on hospitalized bedrest since 24 week (I’m 29 weeks now) and will until delivery whenever that may be. They have marked me as a high risk for hemorrhage given my cerclage history.
I am absolutely terrified of dying in my repeat C-section. I have expressed this to my physician and she just says that they have protocols in place for hemorrhage, but doesn’t say much further. I guess I’m just looking for some kind of assurance that I will likely survive. I have consented to all/any blood products and all life saving measures as well. I’m planning to have all my affairs in order prior to in hopes that everything is ready in case I don’t make it.
If you have any words of advice or tips I would love to hear it. Thanks so much.
