A friend of mine created this detailed dog training series a couple of years ago and I feel like it doesn't get the love it deserves. She's a fully accredited dog trainer and built this course over several years in order to save new dog owners money. Hiring a private trainer for your pup normally costs $100+ per hour and taking them to puppy preschool is typically $150 for 6 classes that just go over the basics (sit, stay etc.). Not to mention if you want to take your dog to the more advanced classes after puppy preschool it's hundreds more. So I have been trying to get cotton candy from Ethyl Maltol and I'm completely new to this and making mistakes and learning.
I was under the impression that dpg and jajoba oil would mix, so I dissolved ethyl maltol into a 10% dilution with dpg and tried some experiments and they just separated.
I want to make oil based roll on perfumes. It seems like for this specific project it might be easier to make it an alcohol based perfume but I live in NC and I'm finding it very hard/expensive to obtain the right alcohol.
I found out you can just use dpg as a carrier but it feels really tacky to me and I don't like that. I intend at some point to use Luxglide N-5 (I think that's the right one) because me and my partner love the perfumes from Sugarmilkco and I've been told that's what gives them that powdery feel.
I am also finding that it doesn't smell as strong as I want it to. I have heard people say you shouldn't make it super strong but I'm not making it for other people I'm making it for me because it's what I want to smell. I tried it at like 3.4% and it still doesn't smell as strong as I want. I'm not sure if it's just because I'm only using ethyl maltol and vanillin and I need stronger top notes or 🤷♂️
Basically, the questions I have are:
- Am I just better off making this an alcohol based perfume and figuring out whatever hoops I need to jump through to get there, or is there something else I can do?
- Is there any way I can make this smell stronger? (Aside from making it alcohol based which I have heard does that) Do I need to add top notes?

I've had a large nodule on my thyroid ever since I was 16. At first, my doctor assumed it was "cold"/nontoxic (grew consistently over the years, my bloodwork was and still is normal, biopsies came back benign), but a recent scan showed my nodule was absorbing a lot of iodine (72% at the 24 hour mark). Based on what I read online, I should have hyperthyroidism symptoms, but I've been actually gaining weight instead of losing it. Has anyone experienced something similar?

2024.11.26 18:40 MoonyDropps i (17f/nb) want to move out asap, but I feel guilty about it.
since senior year started, I found myself tired as hell of home and school. college and adulthood seem like a sort of promised land where everything is in my control.
so, I made a plan. i'll go to this onecommunity college with dorms, get my associates in radiology tech, work a bit, and then move out.
yet, I feel conflicted and guilty. my mom thinks I'm limiting myself by just being a radiology tech. she doesn't know I wanna move out asap because of her. she's not a terrible mother by any means, but I do have resentment built up towards her. she's critical, she dismissed both my mental and physical health problems, and she doesn't understand me.
i've shared a room and bed with her for the past 10 years. we live in a borderline hoarder home, and trying to find things is like playing jenga. i wanna live by my own rules, hang out with my friends as much as I want (she thinks hanging with friends too much is "indecent") and go anywhere I want.
at the same time, I feel like I'm using her. she buys me foods I like, and she forgave my debts. she doesn't force me to pay my phone bill despite me having a job, and she told me she'll get me a car. yet, here I am, wanting to get a dorm and eventually leave home when I'm ~20. idk. i dunno if I'm doing the right thing.
hell, my adult sibling still lives with us. if they move out, and then I move out, my mom will be alone. i may not like her that much, but she shouldn't be lonely. sigh.

2024.11.26 18:40 Professional-Band-69 Ideas for ASOIAF DnD campaign? [spoilers TWOW]
I have been mildly interested in DnD for a while, but I have been OBSESSED with the ASOIAF books for a while now and I want to run a campaign in the world. I have no problem researching all the roles and tweaking em to fit the world, but I want some feedback on ideas for possible paths for the story to lead. My friends who'd be playing have little to no knowledge about the world so I don't wanna dump them in like a blackfyre rebellion or something.
My idea that I'm workin with right now is that all the playable characters have shown up for some reason or another to the tourny in the Vale in the winds preview chapter for alayne. In my version tho, littlefinger murks lysa right before the tourney so the players can puzzle out who killed her and what they wanna do about it. Maybe one or two players have a clue, and they can talk to npcs to get more to figure out what petyrs deal is, who alayne is and what all is at stake.
I figure that whats happening in the vale can really be taken anywhere. Sansa is there for a claim in the north, or they could kidnap her to kings landing. They could also take her and escape to essos. Maybe theres someone who was from the nights watch mission to hardhome that got fucked up, or there was somehow slave soldiers from volantis who draft dodged their way to westeros, and have stories of dany. I feel like theres a lot of potential here so any ideas would be more than welcome!!! I only have vague concepts for diverging paths, and like I said Ive only had a mild interest in dnd so I'm not too confident in my story telling lol

2024.11.26 18:40 DragonAether Framework 16 unresponsive after Windows 10 update
Hello everyone, I have a Framework 16 with dual boot of Windows 10 and Linux mint on separate drives.
It has been working fine up until a couple days ago when I updated windows 10 and now it seems to be completely bricked. At first the installation went fine, the computer turned on and finished installing the update. However after shutting it down, it doesn't seem to work. The fans spin but keyboard is unresponsive (ex. Changing keyboard backlight doesn't work) and screen doesn't even turn on.
I have tried an external keyboard, external monitor, uninstalled and reinstalled ram, uninstalled battery let it rest and plugged it back in, tried different keyboard configurations, tried with a single m.2 stick, tried without the gpu module, tried with gpu again. Letting it charge doesn't seem to do anything either. At first it did flash red and blue leds but now it's solid red.
The laptop hasn't received any damage either.
Does anyone know what might be the cause or how to fix this?

Hello all,
I was trying to update my RHEL 7 image with the latest updates. It is associated with my RHEL account and in previous months it was receiving updates just fine. I am kind of a newbie to RHEL and Linux, so please forgive me if I mispeak about terms etc...
When I would do a "yum update" It would show about 6 packages that It was seeing. 3 Epel, and 3 RHEL7 ones. But then it says "No packages marked for update"
I have tried various troubleshooting methods such as yum clean, removing all the old repos... etc... I tested a friend that was a linux guru and he had me send him images of my /etc/yum.conf and /etc/yum.repos.d file configs.... to which he responded saying there was not a single working mirror where my repo's are pointing to. They are all empty or have readmes saying they have been archived.
He then suggested that I point my server to Oracle's Linux repository as he said CentOS, Redhat, and Oracle are all compatible package wise.
He gave me a how to article that suggested I run the command:
yum install -y oracle-softwarecollection-release-el7
To which I get the error: No package available, nothing to do
He then suggest that I just "Point it at this website via the /etc/yum.repos.d files:
https://yum.oracle.com/repo/OracleLinux/OL7/latest/aarch64/index.html
So I have tried replacing some of the repo files baseurl location with this URL... I have also tried creating my own file.repo rile with that as the baseurl but nothing is seeming to work.
So I am at a loss on what to do to update my rhel7 server.
Can anyone walk me through the process or point me to an article or video on how to get my rhel7 repos to either point to the oracle ones or some how update again?
