This is beyond ridiculous and I'm fuming right now.
- American Airlines damaged my suitcase and accepted full responsibility.
- They offered to send a replacement but withdrew that offer when they realized I'm not in the USA but in UK.
- I've been exchanging messages with the claims dept. ever since, sometimes waiting for over a week for a reply.
- They offered either $100 or the amount on the invoice
- I purchased a replacement suitcase for GBP340, clearly the same model and size
- Now they CLOSED the file without any refund stating "we're sorry we can't reimburse for items over $100 in value without the original receipts. Therefore we're unable to honor your claim and your file is now closed"
Any ideas on how to escalate this?

I am in a bit of a muddle with my EB1-A application and could really use some advice. I initially filed through my employer and unfortunately received an RFE. I am not sure about my employer's attorneys handling of my case, as my profile has been reviewed by several external lawyers who believe it is strong.
I am considering working on a new, self-petitioned EB1-A (through external attorney) while the RFE on my employer-petitioned case is pending. This means a few different scenarios: My new application might be received after the RFE result or before or while its being processed.
Do you know any issues with filing second application while RFE is pending? Has anyone come across a similar situation or have any thoughts on this? Thanks.
