I used to have a Samsung S24ultra before my flip. I LOVED the different notification vibration options I had on it and I'm sad to see the flip doesn't have as many. Is there any custom apps that you can get to make ypur own vibration?

2024.11.26 18:50 Kyraneus One must wonder how an encounter between the two would go.
All jokes aside, I've been thinking recently about the similarities between James and Jimmy. The delusions, refusal to accept responsibility, the parallels between the Tulpar crew and the cast of SH2. How would Jimmy handle Silent Hill? How would James handle being on the Tulpar? I enjoy these kinds of thought experiments. submitted by Kyraneus to Mouthwashing [link] [comments] |

2024.11.26 18:49 ForeverPi War of the Unseen Shadows
The year was 327 of the Fourth Age, a time when the world’s balance was fragile but relatively stable. The Kingdom of Elarion flourished in the heartlands, its fertile plains bordered by the unyielding Ironspire Mountains to the south and the shadowed forests of Eldriva to the east. Peace reigned among the races—humans, elves, dwarves, and halflings—each thriving in their domains. That peace, however, shattered when the War of the Unseen Shadows began.
The northern skies grew dark with ominous storms that swirled unnaturally, clouds blotting out the sun for days. It was thought to be an odd weather pattern until the horrors emerged. The creatures—demons, imps, gargantuan golems, and unnameable horrors—poured into the outer villages in an unrelenting tide. The screams of the helpless echoed across the countryside as villages burned, their inhabitants either slaughtered or dragged away. Survivors spoke of inhuman cruelty: captives used as livestock, laboring until their bodies gave out, only to become a feast for their tormentors.
A Flicker of Resistance
The villages closest to the northern borders fell like dry leaves in a storm, but as the demons pushed further south, the inhabitants began to resist. What started as desperation turned into coordination as news of the demon threat spread. Farmers and blacksmiths took up arms; militias were hastily formed. While the resistance was often futile, it slowed the demonic tide enough for word to reach the great cities.
The High Council of Races convened in a rare meeting of unity. It took place in the ancient halls of the Concordium, a circular chamber carved from the roots of the Great Tree of Lunaris, sacred to the elves. There, under the intertwining boughs that glowed faintly with magical light, the races' leaders gathered.
King Eldarion of the Elves, tall and serene but visibly wearied by the grim reports, sat at the head of the table. Opposite him, King Bargrim Stoneaxe of the Dwarves—a stout figure with a booming voice—was already halfway through his third goblet of mead, his frustration palpable. King Alaric of the Humans sat between them, flanked by his advisors, his stern expression betraying the heavy burden on his shoulders. Representatives of the halflings and other lesser races watched silently, their faces pale.
“We cannot endure much longer,” Bargrim bellowed, slamming his gauntleted fist onto the oak table. “Our fortresses hold, but the countryside is overrun! We need a plan—a real plan—to end this!”
King Alaric leaned forward, his voice steady but tinged with urgency. “My scouts have observed something… peculiar among the smaller creatures—imps and the like. They don’t display the same discipline as the larger demons. They bicker, even fight among themselves, unless tightly controlled.”
Eldarion’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully. “And this observation suggests… what?”
“That we could use them against their masters,” Alaric said. “Capture the weaker ones, turn them to our cause. If they can be trained, perhaps they could fight their own kind.”
Bargrim stroked his braided beard, his initial skepticism giving way to a grudging nod. “Aye, and if not trained, at least loosed in their own hordes. Chaos among their ranks would buy us precious time.”
The idea gained traction, and soon, a plan was born.
Turning the Tide
The allied armies shifted their tactics. Rather than killing every demon on sight, they began capturing the smaller, weaker ones—imps, hellhounds, and lesser golems. The task was perilous, and many soldiers paid with their lives for underestimating their prey. Yet, over weeks and months, they amassed a menagerie of infernal creatures.
It was discovered that the golems, massive constructs of stone and metal, were bound by their creators’ will. If their master was slain, the golems became inert. Scholars and mages worked tirelessly to understand these bindings, eventually learning to imprint new commands onto the constructs. Meanwhile, the imps, prone to infighting and treachery, proved easier to manipulate. They were bribed, threatened, and even enchanted into compliance.
Training these creatures was an exercise in desperation and ingenuity. The imps were fed scraps of demon flesh, instilling a taste for their own kind. Golems were programmed with new directives, their lumbering forms turned into battering rams against demonic fortifications. The allied forces eventually unleashed their newfound army, a nightmarish swarm of corrupted demons tearing into their kin with a ferocity that even the invaders could not match.
The demonic horde faltered for the first time. Chaos rippled through their ranks as imps turned on their masters and golems smashed through their own lines. The larger demons, previously unstoppable, found themselves overwhelmed by a tide of treachery.
The Final Months
The tide of war began to turn. The allied forces pressed their advantage, retaking lost territory inch by bloody inch. During this time, an unexpected phenomenon occurred: a handful of demons, disillusioned by the chaos and brutality, defected to the mortal races. These were mostly outcasts, creatures who had been oppressed even within their own infernal hierarchy. Though mistrusted, they offered valuable intelligence, helping to dismantle the demons’ command structure.
Months of relentless warfare followed. Entire regions were left scarred, forests burned to ash, and rivers ran red with blood. But the alliance persevered. The turning point came during the Siege of Blackspire Keep, a massive demonic fortress that served as the invaders’ central command. The allied forces, bolstered by their reprogrammed golems and trained demon-hounds, laid waste to the fortress, slaying its overlord and scattering the remnants of his army.
The Aftermath
When the war finally ended, the world was irrevocably changed. The northern regions were uninhabitable wastelands, littered with the bones of demons and mortals alike. The alliance held, but tensions lingered—especially with the presence of demons who had joined the mortal ranks. These defectors were watched closely, and their motives were constantly questioned.
The War of the Unseen Shadows became a cautionary tale, a grim reminder of the cost of survival. While the alliance had triumphed, it was not without sacrifices. Entire bloodlines were wiped out, and cities lay in ruins. Yet, for the first time in living memory, the races had stood united against a common foe, proving that even in the darkest of times, there is hope.
As the survivors rebuilt, they vowed never to forget the lessons of the war. For while the shadows had been pushed back, the scars they left behind would remain forever.

2024.11.26 18:49 KiloMeter69 Help me build a chef cook
My friend is DMing a campaign from level 1-3 and most of the story being at level 3. We use 2014 DND rules but he's not against bending the rules for the sake of flavour.
I wanted to make a character that is basically Senshi from dungeon meshi or in the spirit. Someone who's really into monsters and cooking them, always making food and snacks and all that sorta thing. A kind and lovable cook who enjoys making a nice dinner for his friends.
But I'm not sure how to build this character best. I thought of a dwarf alchemist, because I could make potions and sauce, also the alchemy jug infusion is cool. dwarf because poison resistance, fits eating weird different and new foods.
I also thought a human variant bard with the chef feat. I could add a lot of healing during short rest with the feat and song of rest.
Halfling mark of hospitality came also to mind.
But I really like lizardfolks and kobolds but I'm not too sure how they'd fit.
What race, background, class and subclass would you suggest for a fun chef cook build?
