2024.11.26 21:21 ColdContext6193 I did it!!!!!! Here are some before and afters, and an update about how it went(sorry for the nsfw. Just in case anyone doesnt want to see my befores. Lol).

My e day was today(9am this morning)! I can't believe i did it! The extractions(15 fronts) went very fast, but i did go through a little bit of being upset on my way home. They put the immediates in, and both top and bottom were just flopping around. No suction whatsoever. They did nothing to fix it, and just sent me on my way. The bottom is not secure AT ALL. The top isn't secure, but feels like it's sticking better now than it did at first. The palette on the upper feels really thick(and thats the hardest part when it comes to talking), and the part at the top of the gums is very bulky, and causes the spot between my nose and lip to stick out funny, which makes my upper lip look like granny lips😏 so I'm hoping they can thin that part out a bit, and taper it or something to mesh better with my natural gums, so it's not like a little shelf sitting up there(or could I do that myself)? Since Thanksgiving is Thursday, I can't go back in until Monday for any kind of adjustment. I was also in a lot of pain before the numbing even wore off, and I started crying, and thinking I made the worst mistake of my life. But I've felt a lot better about it all once the novocaine wore off&i took some pain meds. I'm definitely feeling sore, but right now its only from where they stuck me with the needles. The teeth look really good IMO, but i can't wait for them to FIT good too! I know immediates aren't meant to be perfect, but i was really hoping for a better fit🫤 But I think they look SO much better, and I'm pretty happy with them as far as that! And right now, I'm so glad I went through with it even with the few issues! (Last picture is a before, and what most people saw when I smiled. Most couldn't see the true depth of my dental problems, which was a big reason why I tried to hold on to them for so long).

All I remember about being a teenager as an EMO & being an MCR fan, was H-E-L-L. Getting bullied and self-harming was the 2006-2014 experience I remember.
