I’m a new(ish) liberal gun owner. Just upgraded from a revolver to a FN 509 tactical.
I have a question about ammo. From what I’m reading, it seems some ammo is for practice while other ammo is for USE, and it depends on the weight.
Would these selections be appropriate?
For practicing at the range: Blazer 9mm Ammo - 1000 Rounds of 124 Grain FMJ Ammunition
For actual self defense: Federal 9mm Ammo - 1000 Rounds of 147 Grain FMJ Ammunition

Four levels of protection means I can get +6 nasty plot up easy and then sweep with stored power. Was fighting between getting agility + baton pass so I can swap to another mon incase of dark types or going full assault and taking heat wave (for steel, grass and bug) and energy ball/giga drain (for Water, Ground and Rock types).

I met a guy in person yesterday who I met online dating. Upon meeting he asked about my day and I told him I went to the vet, to which he jokingly said “so you took yourself to the vet” I was caught off guard and was like so you’re calling me a dog or something to which he apologized. Throughout the date he threw little jabs at me in the name of fun. I didn’t really care for it, told him, and he stated this was him. While I can take a joke, I felt his first joke in our initial meeting was a little much. I’m also looking for a serious relationship, so if jokes, at my expense, are going to be a norm for him and his response is “this is how I am” it is not something that I’m comfortable with. In my opinion it shows lack of self awareness and respect. I sent him a text stating my perception and left it open by stating we could discuss boundaries and he said good luck on your search. Am I overreacting?

2024.11.26 18:29 chopperlopper It's tough being a 30yo bigbang fan in London!

Now that bigbang is back, I'm so excited to listen to new music and go to upcoming shows (hopefully) but as someone in their early 30s in London I can't really talk to anyone in my current circle about my love of kpop.
I would love to find a group of like minded 25+ friends to go for Korean food, learn kpop dances with, etc!
I know there are lots of kpop events in London but they're heavily geared towards 18-22 year olds and definitely not bigbang focused, so if anyone has any advice on groups I could join, or if anyone wants to join a group I'd be happy to get one together!
It's lonely out here!

My main goal would be to support dual monitors (one being 1080p @ 75Hz, and planning to get a 1440p 170Hz monitor for gaming) and be able to handle playing games at 1440p around 60 FPS. I intended to transit through Canada to Detroit as the most direct route from Niagara Falls. I had the form 5589 filled out and an allowed shotgun that was locked and in a case.
The Canadian government page specifically says that transit is an allowed purpose, but the border agents didn’t let me through because the ‘spirit’ of the law is only allowing for driving to Alaska. I can’t find any official mention of this limitation.
Does anyone have further information or been allowed to transit through other than to Alaska?

Nach der gestrigen Aufregung ( Kontext ) und erfolgreicher Blinddarmoperation sitzt Benni im Krankenhaus bei Luis. Der Kleine ist langsam aus der Narkose zurück. Bei seinen ersten Worten "bin ich jetzt tot?" muss Benni sich ein Lachen verkneifen.
Natürlich nicht, der Kinderarzt hat sich doch ganz toll um dich gekümmert! Luis denkt kurz nach und antwortet "boaaa ich glaub ich bin voll besoffen... PAPAAA DOOSENBIER SAUFEEEEN! WUUUUUU!" eine Pflegerin schaut besorgt um die Ecke, warum hier ein kleiner Junge von Saufen herumschreit
Pssst... Sorry, das hat er wohl im Jugendclub aufgeschnappt... Du hattest Narkose, aber das fühlt sich wahrscheinlich ein bisschen so an wie wenn du betrunken wärst! ...seit wann sagst du eigentlich Papa zu mir? Der Kleine fängt an, so etwa alles was je im JC lief quer durcheinander und fürchterlich schief zu singen - hoffnungslos, da ist gerade kein intelligentes Leben in diesem kleinen Köpfchen zu finden...
Heee... Nicht so laut, hier sind noch andere Leute! Guck mal, hier haben sie dir den Blinddarm raus geschnitten... Benni zieht ihm das Shirt ein wenig hoch und zeigt ihm seine Operationsnarbe, muss ihn aber gleich davon abhalten daran rumzufingern und zieht ihm die Bettdecke über den Bauch, bevor er etwas kaputt machen kann. Nach ein paar Minuten nachdenken kommt die nächste Frage: "Aber wieso weisst du, dass ich nicht tot bin? Bist du dir ganz sicher?"
Ein wenig später, als der Kleine halbwegs fit ist, kommt eine Videonachricht nach Hausen: Hallo zusammen... Also... Luis winkt in die Kamera und reisst zum x-ten Mal fast den Infusions-Ständer um heee vorsichtig, pass auf den Schlauch auf! Macht euch keine Sorgen um uns. Luis hat den Blinddarm rausgeschnipselt bekommen und ihm gehts schon wieder viel besser! Keine Angst, wir sind nicht wegen dem Trinkwasser hier gelandet. Aber wir müssen euch noch ein paar Tage allein lassen. Wenn alles gut geht, bin ich am Wochenende zurück!

ClinCheck done today and wondering Hi everyone, thank you by advance to anyone taking the time to read/answer.
I started the Invisalign process a few weeks ago with my ortho clinic, started off with original 3D scan and Xray, followed by extraction of one wisdom teeth (inferior left side, seen on the screen where most movement happens).
Back then, the chief ortho immediately mentioned the space left by my previous superior 2nd molars extractions (on both sides) and said they would see if they could pull the 3rd molars and wisdom teeth forward to fill the gap. I was excited with this because this is what I was secretly hoping.
Today at my clincheck they said they couldn’t pull them forward and asked me if I was fine with just keeping the gap, and if not, pull them back to make some space for implants during future refinements.
Im just wondering why it would be impossible since the gap has closed by at least half ever since they got removed on its own, so what is preventing them to move them forward a bit more ?
~Main question~ : Has anyone experienced successful forward movement for molars ?

2024.11.26 18:29 VertexOnReddit Car running bad after replacing upper timing cover gasket?

Hey guys, I have a 2011 Mk6 GTI M/T and I recently changed the upper timing cover gasket and all of the gaskets involved like cam seal and everything, and I started the car afterwards and it was running very rough. It had the poor man’s cam, although my check engine light was off and I never cleared codes, but idk why it’s running bad now. Any ideas? Maybe it will go away with driving? I’m doing carbon cleaning right now so I’ll see how it is when im done with everything but it worried me. Thanks!
