I took time off to travel between jobs and am struggling to re-enter the field.
Searching for a Remote Web Developer Role. Currently working at a small startup company that has some contract work but not enough to stay busy - Very varied experience but want to move to web dev permanently. Have sent out hundreds of applications but no interviews.

The idea is that major companies will establish themselves here instead of China and Mexico, thus offering more American job. Yes there will be an increase in prices which is unfortunate.
It IS fortunate though that these companies will be here where there are labor laws instead of at a Chinese sweatshop. With any luck those abusive companies will have to shut down because of the cost of imports.

Hello everyone! It’s been bugging me for a while already and I would love to hear opinions on the topic of “Freedom of Movement”. So, as we know, there is a “Freedom of Movement”, the law that generally guarantees everyone’s rights to enjoy the nature and I guess is considered as one of the things that !Norway can be proud of? But isn’t it ironic that as a foreigner I’m so free to move within the Norway, but I’m unable to leave the country until I get my residence permit. For your understanding - I have applied for a job seeker permit as a recent graduate and my national passport requires visa to travel to Schengen countries. At the moment I don’t have valid residence permit and therefore I feel trapped in here, unable to visit my family. Previously I lived in Czech Republic and there I could get temporary visa anytime without any specific reason, but here, in the so called “Free country” I’m trapped solely due to the fact I’m a national of a certain country. Are there more people who thought about that?

Anyone else sick of these group of lads every day in the city talking about Jesus.
Was coming out the bus station to get to my flat after work one of them asked me do you believe in Jesus and i said sorry pal i need to get going and he had the audacity to say i dont have time for Jesus. 🤣
i am all for faith and all but seriously annoying every week without fail i encounter one of these lads and they really get in your face. I grew up in a christian household but seriously this ain’t the way to go about it. Does anyone know how to make a formal complaint.

I have 29 OSD. Each OSD is 7.68-8TB and is u.2 nvme pcie 3.
I use Erasure coding for my storage pool. I have a metadata and data pool
Currently 10 TiB is used. The total number of pg is set on 32 on both the data and metadata pool. I have autoscaler in proxmox however I'm wondering if this number really is optimal. It feels a little low to me but according to proxmox it is.
