In Canada, and I can get a M1 Max MacBook Pro with 32gb RAM, 100% battery health and 512gb storage for 2100 on Facebook Marketplace. I can buy a M4 Pro Mac Mini for around the same cost brand new with tax from Apple with base configuration.
I already own a m1 air with 16gb of RAM, and do a decent amount of video editing on DaVinci resolve with live editing while recording on OBS. The air was holding up for quite a while, but it has slowed down for me.
Portability of a laptop isnât an issue, from purely hardware/software perspective and longevity should I buy the M1 Max or m4 pro.
(Or does an extremely cheaper m4 base suit my needs fine if the m1 air was just a tad bit too slow).

Hi Wondering if I can get some advice. I rent a 1 bed in England for fairly cheap rent. Always paid rent on time or early and never as far as I know had any issues I got into a relationship early last year and my partner stays with me 3 nights a week sometimes more depending, however he does have his own flat.
Today my partner was staying as he was unwell while I was working. I got a text message saying my landlord had let himself into my flat with no notice given to me prior. He then proceeded to ask my partner if he lived there and my partner said he felt unwell and said he may have Covid - my landlord left
I sent a text message asking for a reason for him to be in my flat without notice
He then calls me and tells me he has had complaints from other residents, and he feels like he is being made a â mug offâ I have spoken to all but one of the residents and they donât know what he is talking about.
Landlord has increased rent starting in January and I have no idea what to do about the entire situation

Looking for some advice - my husband and I have three nephews between 6 months and 3 years old, and we've been talking about how best to gift small amounts of money that will add up to something meaningful over time. When I was a kid family members gave me savings bonds that I largely forgot about, until I needed cash for an apartment deposit and my mom reminded me that those had been maturing in the background my whole life. I want to try to do something similar.
We've ruled out 529 contributions both because their parents generally have that covered, and because we want to set them up with some amount of future cash that would be helpful with non-education goals.
We're not talking about huge amounts of money - maybe $200 per kid per year spread between birthdays and holidays. Is the simplest thing to do write a check and hope it goes into an interest generating account? Are savings bonds still a thing? Trying to create as little work for the parents as possible, while also giving the kids something slightly meaningful for their early adulthood. Would love to hear from parents or folks who have a system that works well for them!

I been sitting in the telegram group listening to them and they are comparing this coin to a bank where they get consistent money buy selling and buying back in. One of them even mentioned how he has friends who are aware of the coin and that if they put money in he would take their money. They sell heavy and hope investors buy back in so they can sell again. Just like safemoon.

I drained the place down, changed the valve, and started changing other corroded and compromised fittings cuz Iâm a nice guy! Right?! Damn wrong⊠I got 3 open ends down here in this sunken place of a hole, I got wires coming out my ears, Iâm ripping some of the foulest ass imaginable and itâs got nowhere to go, my knees are soaked (this part gets worse) and I skipped breakfast. SEE PICTURE 2; the 3/4â cold pex line gets bumped by my huge noggin and flips the power switch to the well pump. I get triple blasted by my open ends, I got my thumb in one pipe, a bucket blocking another, and the third ones ripping into the wall. I go to shut the main gate valve itâs spinning for all eternity, not doing sheet I actually spun it around so many times just hoping the stem would catch and the rubber would close itself back into place, âyeah oh kay buddyâ. I look up see the switch hit it off. By now ~50 psi on my thumb in the 3/4â copper is starting to push back. I let everything go, I close my eyes and get blasted from 3 angles just like your favorite pron star, I go outside and itâs raining. I look up like Andy Dufresne after 500 yards of foulness and taste the rain.
