I’m 32 and moved from state with no state income tax to California (my job relocated me here on assignment). With moving expenses (paid by company), quarterly bonuses and COLA my income will be just over $300K. My taxes paid will be $120K. This got me thinking how to best utilize my taxes throughout the year, like investing and paying lump some on tax day. Is this a thing? I have read several articles but nothing clear about this. Some articles mentioned paying quarterly versus fully withholding taxes. But can you pay $0 taxes on monthly income and invest that money and opt to pay full tax obligation in April?

2024.11.26 20:17 rosebuddafly4 Positive IVF Outcome: First FET Success after three failed IUI's!
So good so far! Just wanted to share some positivity this holiday season for those still waiting. I remember how hard it was to find success stories when I began my journey but I promise you most of them just don't give updates lol. Had my first FET back in August this year and the embryo stuck. Had the faintest positive line 3 days later which got darker each day. First sign of success for me was the night of the transfer, my stomach felt really hot and I had a bad toothache.
My husband and I began our journey back in February this year. We tried IUI three times before starting the IVF process. My periods have always been irregular but my hormones were normal, it's just that I would ovulate earlier than expected which I feel prevented my eggs from growing big enough before ovulating. My husband also had low sperm motility and morphology so we were diagnosed with Male Factor Infertility and had to do ICSI as well. Also, before my transfer we had finally checked my progesterone levels right after I ovulated and it was at a 4 when it needed to be at a 9 or higher in order for an embryo to stick so they gave me progesterone suppositories and that did the trick.
I went through 1 cycle of IVF which resulted in about 33 eggs but only 12 were retrieved because I again ovulated a day earlier than predicted so they weren't able to get most of them. We were so heartbroken because we felt it may not be enough but in the end out of 12 embryos, 10 fertilized and 7 remained by Day 6. We had all 7 embryos tested and 4 came back normal (3 boys and 1 girl). We transferred the best quality boy first and now I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant.
I was originally supposed to do a fresh transfer but my estrogen was high and I had OHSS so had to wait another month to do a frozen transfer. This pregnancy has been uneventful so far, no sickness just lots of sleeping lol. We're expecting him in April 2025. Just for reference we did our IUI's at Kaiser then switched to Spring Fertility for IVF. Highly recommend Spring over Kaiser :) My husband's job has Progyny so we were able to get 80% coverage through them. Wishing the best outcome for everyone else <3

As Stormers fan I can never ever support any team we played against in Super Rugby or now in the URC. In England I’ve been a Leicester fan for a long time even though I had a mate of mine, Muna Ebongalame, and Franna play for Saracens. I actually have no clue why I am a Leicester fan so don’t even ask! Just happened to like them back at the start of pro era because I liked the Underwood brothers and Dean Richards.
Question - my loyalties is for sale as I am now going to more closely follow the Top14. Because it seems as if the French do know how to play club rugby. Rumour has it that it is a pretty decent setup. But seriously, anyone have a good resource that breaks down the history of the clubs? Or do I have to do each one via Wikipedia? As a fair weather new French club rugby fan, I have to pick a team. It’s just how it works. I could flip a coin or simply go Bordeaux because I have drank wine from that region. Or Pau or Perpignan because I watch the Le Tour.
