I'm not knocking anyone for what they like, but it seems disengenious to say he's the most accurate, and to that degree, to even say he's "the best", when so little of Bruce from the comics is in his portrayal.
Even in other books that portray young Bruce, Gothic for example, with its flashbacks, show a confident jock at prep school.
Can anyone help me identify where this concept started, what are people comparing him to when they say he's the best bruce/batman?

2024.11.26 20:35 vezaynk Trying to get back into back-end roles, keep getting reshuffled into front-end instead

I would identify myself as a "true full-stack". I'm strong in both. My last couple of roles have been more front-end-focused.
Apparently this is now a kiss of death to my applications to back-end roles.
I'm looking for new roles right now and trying to get something more back-endy to stay fresh in it, and either my application gets blocked on "we're looking for someone with more back-end experience" (which I don't really lack, aside from recency) or I get the interview and am met with "we really like you but would rather have you join our front-end team" at the end of it, even if I'm clearly demonstrating my aptitude at back-end/system design.
So what I'm wondering, am I fighting against a recency bias or is there just simply more demand for front-end devs so they want to reshuffle everyone who can do FE into doing FE?

2024.11.26 20:35 Ganster4life Stuck in reverse

Hello everyone, i need help. I have a 2006 Scion Xa (140k miles) *No Check Engine light on.) manual transmission and I was driving normally and when I stopped and put it in reverse to park the stick got stuck in reverse so I turned the vehicle off when that happened but the lever was still stuck in reverse, I released and pressed the clutch again and was able to release the stick.
It also happened to me in first gear, the stick got stuck in first gear, I moved the vehicle a little and it turned off even though I had the clutch all the way in.
Has anyone had this problem before? What could be the problem? Thanks.

I'm building my first PC and could use some help choosing the right components to complete my build. Here's what I've already selected:

I was looking at this CPU: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CHBFWJDN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title, but it feels like overkill for my needs. I'm mainly going to use the PC for medium gaming and data analysis (Hence the 64gm of ram).

So, I’ve hit the ball really bad for the last year or so. Went from an 8 to a 14. I entered a match play tournament that stretched over 6 months.
It was perfect timing as I started hitting the ball great again. The tournament starts with 128 players and I made it to the round of 16. I shot in the high 70s and low 80s until that last round. I ended up being a nine after that last round.
I was six up through six and completely melted down and lost the match. It’s been about a month and it feels like I haven’t hit a good shot since then.
I’ve always had an ugly swing but managed to get by with chipping and putting well.
I just left an hour range session and didn’t hit a single good shot. It’s all arms and wrists. It’s like I have never played before.
I think I need to switch up instructors as I don’t feel like I’m getting much out of it.
Not sure why I’m posting this but I will show up on Sunday and try again.
Why do we put ourselves through this shit?

I made a slider in revolution slider 6 and before inputting the new images first, I accidentally deleted the current images first from the media library. Now because the images do not exist there is an Ajax error, however because of the error I cannot access the slider anymore and it isn’t allowing me to access the media library either. How can I access this slider so I don’t have to start over and so I can access the media library?

2024.11.26 20:35 swagdisabler Just moved in, cat is asking a lot from me

Hi I’m staying in a flat with 3 others, and the owner of the house has 2 cats and 2 dogs. The 2 cats seems older and the one is rather skinny and losing it’s voice, while the other is a chubby rescue and purrs like a motorboat. Now the owner has gone on vacation, and i’ve been left alone numerous times which i can hear the skinny one meowing and waiting outside my room for me, to which when i leave my room he races me down the stairs. Then he kind of just follows me around, whatever i do he jumps in front of me, so naturally i assume he wants attention. I’ve tried everything, he races me to the door, so i try to let him outside but it’s too cold for him and he immediately turns around. I’ve fed them both lots and even when his food dish is topped up he seems upset. The litter is clean. If anyone has any recommendations as to what i can do to comfort him that would be great.

For context, I started out as uneducated coffee drinker and had a krups blade grinder and an origami pour over for a year or so. I have had the Aiden for a couple weeks and I am not impressed and questioning if I should keep it.

The coffee does not stay hot in the carafe. The reps on youtube say it "stays hot for hours" and then the site says it "stays warm for hours". The fellow rep on reddit says it was tested for a full caraffe and stayed hot for 4 hours. I think thats a highly questionable claim. Now I batch smaller brews so I guess they didn't do QA on those? Which doesn't make sense to me since you are marketing this for single / small batches. I'm not getting anywhere close to those results and it appears I am not the only one.

My results (medium roast):
Trial 1: 155 F @ 0 mins
Trial 2: 142 F @ 15 mins
Trial 3: 128 F @ 40 mins
Trial 4: 118 F @ 65 mins
I have not seen any reference that 118 would be considered hot, or even warm.

So like I said, I had a sub par setup. I upgraded to the Aiden and Ode Gen 2. I know I have some tinkering to do, but for something that is over 10x the price I am not impressed. On average it produces a better cup, but I have done side by side comparisons and it's much closer than you think. And I am far from an expert in pourover.
This is a me issue, but it's still annoying. I unplug my machine a lot and keep it in cabinet. I wish there was a watch battery or something that would keep the time. I hate having to reset the time when I plug it back in. If I have the app connected, will the time sync?

I was sold on waking up to a hot pourover quality coffee every morning. And it's falling short. To the point where I might return it. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to read them.
