I'm coming to Banff in mid-January and am looking to get new ski boots. Ideally they will be hybrid as I want to get into the backcountry and only really want one pair of boots to cut down on luggage space.
Is there anywhere in Banff that offers the service of demoing ski boots? I had a quick Google but couldn't find anything.
Also will it to be too late to buy boots at that time or should there still be a healthy stock of boots available?

2024.11.26 21:34 thebraindontwork Please can someone explain income tax when it comes to a variable monthly income and continuous?
I understand that it’s cumulative and how it’s worked out to a degree but what I’m not understanding is it month by month. I’ve read the wiki and I’m now even more confused…
So my understanding is as of this pay day 1257L allows for £8380 of personal allowance.
20% bracket is at this point allows for earnings up to £33,513.
First question: When I take my earnings for the year to date, do I deduct the personal allowance total and then work tax out on that figure? If so, I’m highly confused to why I’ve paid 30.7% tax on my income this month when I actually fall under the tax bracket earnings YTD.
I know things can get less straight forward with variable incomes and it’s assumed my yearly salary by what it’s being given data wise but how on earth can I budget for this? Would it next month recalculate on my then month and yearly figures compared to the allowances/tax bracket YTD or am I stuck now? My fear is this next month I know won’t be as high, if the first question is true then I’d still be under the bracket but being taxed a huge amount on less is obviously not an ideal situation.
Sorry I have dyscalculia too so that really does not help with my understanding of calculations at all! I’m probably misunderstanding this whole thing.
I really hope this reads okay. Sorry! If anyone can explain it like I’m stupid that would be appreciated.
