Me and my ex used to have this hilarious joke (we’re both switches) where we would grab the most obscure thing that was a cylinder shape and say “new toy for the strap on?”. It would literally crack us up so hard.
It literally happened everywhere. Once we went to Italy and dead as the first thing she says when we see the leaning tower of pisa is “new toy?”.
Even though we’re not together anymore, we’re still friends and the joke comes up occasionally 😭.

Hi, so let me begin with I've been playing bass for years, recently I've started with tweaking my basses myself with intonation and changing tuner and pickups, but I've come to a problem.
See I just purchased a squier aff jaguar with the intention of doing upgrades, one upgrade I really want to do to make it my own is adding a bigsby tremolo.
I've watched tim sways video on how he did his which I know how to convert it to suit bass, the only thing I'm worried about it doing it on a short scale bass. Now I just want to say I don't know anything about the length between the bridge and the nut. All I'm asking is if I do all of this and add the bigsby and a bridge for it will it affect the sound? Or will the intonation be all over the place

For those who don't know, the GPC recently decided to expel a whole load of lifters (mainly from South Wales), which has sparked major backlash, with many leaving the GPC and joining the WRPF.
The reasons for this expulsion are down to two reasons, as given by the GPC:
The first being that a "known criminal" has been working to run the competitions held by Welshside Barbell.
The second being that Welshside Barbell allowed lifters to for-go federation rules regarding kit.
Regarding the first point, there has been pushback from many lifters over the last 2 days, highlighting that the "known criminal" has been working with the GPC for more than 10 years to run competitions, and it has never been an issue until recently. Some have pointed to how the allegations of rule-breaking have only arisen since lifters have become more openly critical of the federation.
Regarding the second point, there has been evidence put forward by parties involved to suggest that the for-going of federation rules has been in relation to allowing Muslim women to wear long-sleeve shirts when competing, which has apparently sparked outrage among the GPC leadership.
The outcome, regardless, has been a mass exodus of lifters from Wales, with some from England and Scotland following, from the GPC and to other federations, most notably the WRPF.
It's been interesting, witnessing this all happen in real-time, and just goes to show how internal politics can ruin federations, even ones that claim to be "for the lifters".
