So apparently it's that time of year again where we get "New Crop Rice" and when cooked, it's sticky, goopy and clumpy.
Is there a method or technique that works to make it less clumpy beyond reducing the water a bit?
This is done in a commercial sized rice cooker, I can't remember how many litres/cups it is though.

So i have hp notebook laptop with windows 11 installed When i use it on battery the mouse works completely fine but when i plug it in to charge the mouse keeps disconnecting and reconneting fastly and i cant use it Its weird and it hapened on all the 3 mouses i tried but did not had a problem with my headphone (usb port) Can someone help me?(and yes i tried all the methodes like updating or deleting usb or mouse drivers or change the power plan setting,none worked)

NOT ASKING FOR MEDICAL ADVICE OR TRYING TO PROMOTE DISORDERED PATTERNS. i know questions like this are best for a doctor, but i don't have access to one at the moment, and i'm really just curious to hear if any of these symptoms sound familiar to anybody who has experienced refeeding syndrome. if that's inappropriate for this sub, i understand if mods need to take it down.
i didn't necessarily binge or eat a significant amount today, but i'm not in recovery, and it was more than i have been eating. i also unfortunately engaged in purging behaviors twice today. that's all to say: before dinner, i felt very driven toward food - not via typical signs of hunger, but like i needed it for my blood sugar or something. before, and even moreso after dinner, i felt vaguely ill - not nauseous, no headache, just so wrong. low energy, but like, almost vibrating at the same time. i can't remember if my heart was racing, but it was a similar feeling. i was simultaneously hungry and food averse, with both intentions coming from wanting to alleviate the sick feeling.
i've never had any particularly weird electrolyte labs drawn, but i also haven't had any draws since purging behaviors began. in the past month, i've experienced some (possibly psychosomatic?) chest pains, as well as severe, sudden onset cramps (often after purging behaviors.)
i've just never experienced that sense of wrongness before. i wasn't dizzy, but it felt similar. it felt like my electrolytes or blood sugar or something was out of wack.
if anybody has any firsthand experience, i know everybody is different, but i would be really curious to learn more about how refeeding syndrome has manifested in other people.

2024.11.27 00:47 Spinobreaker I made a crude extinct animal guessing game... well kinda, its proof of concept
Howdy All So I got bored and coded up an extinct animal guessing game, with over 1000 species in it. Its contained in 2 html files (and a few minor side files) The first one is for you to guess an extinct animal name, and then it will tell you the last common classification with the correct answer. The second one is a searchable branching tree to help you narrow down your guess.
For example, if you guess "Tyrannosaurus" and the correct answer is Ankylosaurus, it will say something to the effect of "the last common classification is dinosauria" You then go to the branching tree, search for Dinosauria and itll take you to that branch, and highlight all answers below that. We know its not down the Saurischian branch, so you can follow down the Ornithischian branch and then take another guess. Say "Stegosaurus". It will then tell you the last common classification is something like Eurypoda. I cant remember. Again follow the tree towards the correct answers.
The guess feature isnt fully coded yet, as I only just added it, and its copypasta for most of the answers, so its only really accurate for a handful of the A answers. Once thats added it will list the time period each fossil comes from, who published on it, where it was found, and what the name means. Its going to take a while to get through them all. But i will update it when i can.
Im aware of a bug in the branching tree that causes the camera to not lock on properly. Not sure why it does that. If anyone knows, let me know.
Otherwise, give it a go and lmk what you think.

Been out for almost a decade after having done a decade in the Navy, and the thought just struck me today. No morning meetings, musters, quarters, what-have-you in all my time being out. In the two jobs I've been in since we never had any kind of meet for the shift, is that normal for civilian jobs?

Hello! I know this might be redundant or common knowledge. However, I do want to help all of us. I just started thing this way this week and it improved my playstyle ALOT. I guess it doesn't matter what mode you are playing but you need to think of halo (in some small way) as an RTS game and think about your resources. What are resources? Well the obvious is your ammo, but then that begs the question...what gun are you using, TTK, what equipment/grenade do you have. All of these are resources at your disposal, once they are gone then your probability in a fight goes down. Now everything I mentioned above are expendable (aka they don't replenish). Your biggest resource management is your sprint, jump, slide (Just jump in delta but that is a whole nother thing). Once you use them you are a sitting duck and it is a strategic thing to use sprint, jump, slide. Its a calculated risk as when you use either of them for ranked you become a sitting duck to an extent. You don't have your weapon out. It really is something you have to take into effect.
My realization for my shift in play comes from the delta playlist, where I was so used to jumping in a firefight in Infinite, that the moment I did it in the delta playlist I would be dead and/or a sitting duck.
My best tip is to think of halo as a Resource management game and your competitive experience will go through the roof
