Hey there,
Posted this on AfricanCichlids as well but it looks like there's quite a few more members here so thought I'd ask here as well.
Just looking to get some advice on a new tank. I just got a 60 gallon tank set up with the plan of getting African Cichlids. I've had the water going a few days already but am realizing the KH is around 180. Ph around 7. Whats the best way to get the KH to go down before I toss some fish in? I've read that Fluval peat can help but it'll tint the water. I have a Fluval 407 so I can add some different media if there's anything out there that'll help?
Not sure if it matters but I used one of those organic substrates you don't have to rinse that comes wet since I'll be doing some live plants in the tank.
Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

2024.11.27 02:27 Alpha_Galaxy_12 I think I need help. This has to be the funniest but most embarrassing moments in school I've ever had.
I was in Gym, and I was talking to my friend about the day before. My friends (other than him) and I were rating micro penises and I was telling him about it since he wasn't there. And there was this one where it was like "My Morning 1 inch Erection" and I was telling him about that one. Apparently my coach heard me when I said "How do you have an erection that small?" And the look of utter disappointment and confusion on his face said it all.

There are a few of these marks I just started noticing in my condo. Cement building about 6 yrs old. Not sure if this is normal from the building expanded and contacting. I know I have a few lines in some spots from the drywall breaking a bit but not sure about those. Visually not a big deal but wondering if it's normal.

 | I’m posting because I don’t really know where to go from here. I’ve recently gotten stable enough to earn my GED after a very tumultuous childhood. I’m 21 now but I was homeless off and on from age 7-14 with my single mother. Then I shortly lived with and was kicked out by my dad (who just as recently had fought for custody and won) for smoking pot as a 15 year old and was homeless for another two years straight. Finally with a stable job and a rented home I ended up needing to care for and pay all the bills for my temporarily disabled disabled mother and older brother for two years straight as well. After all of that I had finally gotten so worn down I lost my job due to being sick so often due to not being able to care for myself. I moved my mother, brother, and I; and all of our belongings with the last dollars we had, down to our grandpas place in Florida. I struggled for a few months to find a job but ended up landing what I thought was an amazing opportunity. For a while it was, I was making 24/hour and getting 40/week. Then the hours started dropping due to overhiring, and there I was again with no work because it wasn’t even worth going to get 2 or 3 hours in a day and only 15/week. Now I’ve been doing gig work online and handiwork for neighbors friends and family nearby and barely getting by on my bills, but it’s no way for me to live. I want to make something of myself. I would love to go to college online in an accelerated program, do two years of law school, then serve the country as an officer in the Air Force. I can’t accomplish those goals because I’m stuck trying to find ways to pay my bills and get a job. I can’t spend time to find scholarships cause I’m just barely scraping by. I know this is a TLDR kind of rant but any and all advice on how to achieve my somewhat lofty goals will be greatly welcomed and appreciated. In the Wicked review, James mentions that, while he likes the Wicked musical, it isn’t his favorite Stephen Schwartz musical? Anyone know what it actually is?
I went back to that tier list he did with ColeyDoesThings to see if I could deduce it there, but the only other one I could see that was covered was The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which he had in the same tier as Wicked. On the subject of Disney, it’s obviously not Pocahontas, Enchanted appears to just be good in his eyes based on his Letterboxd rating of it, and he hasn’t seen Disenchanted. It could be The Prince of Egypt, since he does prefer the movie to any of Schwartz’s Disney work.
As for stage-original musicals, Schwartz’s only other two are Godspell and Pippin. I’ve never seen James cover Godspell, but I do recall him praising Pippin in the past.
So my guess is, it’s one of three choices: Pippin, Hunchback, and Prince of Egypt. If someone knows the exact answer, feel free to comment it.
