Hello to everybody! I’m an international student, and I’m trying to get into UC. I’ve already achieved the minimum requirement of English for UC as it is on their website through DET (Duolingo English Test) - 115 overall. Do I need to prepare and try to retake it after the deadline (it’s possible, as I understood), or is this fine? I researched a lot of websites of all UC’s campuses, and they all require 115, but UCLA's website says that to be competitive, you need 130+. I understand that it’s extremely hard to get into UCLA, but I only need to realize whether I need to try or if it is just a complete waste of time and not necessary. Thank you in advance!

Anyone Have a deodorant for really sensitive skin. I tried dove and I'm like 89% sure it gave me chemical burns or ringworm I'm pretty sure its ringworm, but I'm still terrified to use dove. any recommendations? I cant use deodorant with Blue dyes In it. I used Dr Squatch but it didn't really work for me. The smell can be anything but not salty, like maybe something sweet or just like fresh scented

So me and my boyfriend love together and we have 2 roommates, everything has been super good between us until now. Me and my boyfriend were really excited to see the new arcane episodes arc 3 and we kinda kinda agrees with our roommate to watch it together, nothing official we watched the other 2 arcs together and I told them then that I wanted to watch arc 3 as soon as I could. Anyways on Wednesday our roommate was in a bad mood or something and he wasn’t talking to us the whole day and then he left on Thursday we hadn’t spoken to him since. Then Saturday comes around, my boyfriend was at school until 4 and I decided to wait for him and as soon as he came home it was arcane time. 8 minutes into the episode our roommate comes home and ask us “are you watching arcane? Screw you guys” in a very annoyed mad way, I was kinda taken aback cause I didn’t expect him to be this mad. My boyfriend told him we could rewind and start again so we could watch it together, he said sorry I didn’t know when you were coming home we haven’t spoken. Our roommate responded with “no I was gonna running first before I watch it, I’ll just watch it alone” he was very mad I could see. So we were like alrighty then and watched it. It’s now Tuesday he hasn’t spoken to us since, he hasn’t even looked in our eyes or anything. I haven’t really tried to talk to him cause as soon as you look at him he walks away or everts his eyes. I have no clue what to do, idk if I’m super toxic or not? What is really sad about this situation is the my boyfriend and our roommate are really good friends and I can see how much it hurts him but he won’t ever admit it. This whole situation sucks, I even saw him looking at apartments today and idk if we were total assholes to him or not. Maybe I did something else to piss him this much off I don’t know, he hasn’t talked to us.

For some reason Tag isn’t popular from my research, but that Carrera is stunning!
I’d like 30mm or less as looks more feminine. Budget wise I’m flexible £500 seems sensible but willing to go £1000s for the right one. Some look alikes would be helpful as not sure I should go all out for my first watch.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how traditional publishers operate—they rely on a venture capitalist model where most books fail to make much money, but a few bestsellers more than make up for the losses. They have the advantage of publishing dozens of books a year, which gives them more chances to land a hit.
For us self-published authors, every book we put out takes months, even years, of work, and we don’t have the luxury of trying our luck with dozens of titles. We’re basically playing the same game but with far fewer opportunities to win.
It feels like success in self-publishing often boils down to luck—getting the right book in front of the right audience at the right time. Marketing and quality are important, sure, but they don’t guarantee anything.
Does anyone else feel like the deck is stacked against us, or is it just a matter of persistence and grinding until something finally clicks? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

He was almost out of high school. My mom trusted him to watch me. I remember very vividly, one time he was watching me in my apartment, and started talking about liking the taste of pee, so me, being a curious 6 year old, asked what pee tasted like. He told me he had to show me. So there I was, and he peed in my mouth. That wasn't the only time he took advantage of me. There were multiple times we were found alone, and he fingered me. I don't think this happened anymore after I was about 7, and he grew concerned I would tell people. The first person I told was my sister, I think I was around 10. But we kept it between ourselves. After becoming an mom myself, I told my mom about what happened. She said she feels bad about it, but still treats him the same. I put that trauma far away, so whenever I see him, I act like nothing happened, and he honestly probably thinks I forgot. But I never forgot. And it still hurts so badly. And I feel betrayed that even though my mom and sister know about the abuse, everyone just acts like nothing happened. I think about ways to get back at him, but there's nothing I can do. The abuse wasn't reported when I was a kid. Now my uncle has his own kids, and I worry he'll hurt them the same way he hurt me years ago. As far as I know, he's always been a predator. Constantly going after young girls and teenagers, and young women that look like kids still. He's a creep. I don't think I'll ever get over the mistrust and hurt he put me through.
