2024.11.27 00:40 Alinunderland Horrible experience
So I had two teeth extracted under anesthesia yesterday mid morning and the site seems to be doing okay, and overall it seems to have gone decently from what I can tell. Not too much swelling yet and though I’m sore it’s of course to be expected, so no real complaints as far as that goes.
That’s all the good I have to say though, as I am completely appalled by the fact that once I recovered for a few hours and became more lucid, I became aware of a big painful bump forming on my forehead along with red marks and a bruise on my temple. Later in the evening, on the same side as the steadily darkening bruising on my face I also found a rapidly deepening bruise on my side. I woke this morning realizing there was also a bruise on the inside of my right knee. Clearly something happened while I was under that NOBODY deemed necessary to tell myself or my husband when they brought me out to him after surgery. I don’t know if I was dropped or what happened to me while under anesthesia, but I can say that the giant goose egg on my forehead is so painful that even an ice pack hurts and lifting my eyebrow is terrible. Im lucky I didn’t end up with a concussion and fall asleep not knowing…I’m beyond anxious and stressed and emotional over waking up from my first surgery to find injury to myself with zero clue as to how it got there. My husband is going to make some calls for me to find out what the hell happened while I was in their care and why not a single person said there was an incident. I don’t even know what to do or think right now and everytime I move and feel the bruises and massive bump on my head and watch more show up I struggle to stay calm. I have ptsd already and a lot of trust issues and trauma that made the idea of being unconscious in the care of strangers incredibly difficult. This has me a mess if I’m being honest. To neglect to say a word to us regardless of what happened is unacceptable. Has anyone else experienced anything of the sort?
