2024.11.27 02:26 purplechickens7 I've been travelling weekly for treatments under an OLE for a clinical trial for two years now. How much longer?
I (27F) am a patient with MOG-AD receiving weekly treatments of rozanolixizumab as part of a clinical trial. The drug has helped me tremendously, and I've been taking it for nearly three years now, with 2 years being OLE. I was the first patient worldwide enrolled in the clinical trial and randomized for drug, so my understanding is I will need to wait until the entire Phase 3 is complete for my OLE to end. I fly every single week to get treatment and its exhausting. Additionally, I would like to know when I can start family planning (I can't get pregnant while on the trial) or moving on up in my career which would require flexibility to relocate and travel for work. The drug is a lifesaver and I feel happy abd have not relapsed since moving over from the placebo arm of the trial. I know there's no current FDA approved treatment, and I don't want to go back to chronic steroid usage (left me with some pretty bad osteoporosis, other side effects too). But, I feel on pause, and the not knowing when it will end fills me with dread. I dont have the option for home nurse administration, which forces me to spend plenty of time travelling to and from my hospital site.
So, any idea of how much longer this may take? Any hopeful stories?
P.s. to the doctors and nurses. Thank you so much for your care of those with rare chronic illnesses. My clinical trial team is basically family at this point, and they have done so much to accommodate my needs and make me feel cared for in ways I've never previously experienced from a healthcare environment. I know I'm just one patient, but your hard work is much appreciated!!

- Cable box is HDM 1 - Apple TV is HDMI 2 - Biggest concern is running speaker wire. My plan is to run speaker wire under carpet to sub using 16 gauge speaker wire using banana clips. I'm just putting together now how to connect the sub to the TV. Originally I planned to use bluetooth speakers but she declined that idea.

 | Made in Philippines resembles the much cheaper Sightron SII Blue Sky but have much better quality feel to the build and design. These normally sell for $279. Are they actually worth paying that much? Read on... Image quality I'd say almost on par with the much cheaper less than half the price Sightron SII Blue Sky 10x32 with the edge going to the Sightron in regards to overall sharpness. One and 1/4 revolutions to go from roughly 8 - 9 feet to infinity in a counterclockwise direction. Ergonomics is great but IMHO the glass could have been better. These are about neck and neck with my Kowa Genesis Prominar XD 8x33 in it's current defective state less than stellar image quality thought very good not that great for the price. I sent the Kowa today for warranty Tuesday 11/26/2024 and had to pay out of pocket to pay shipping and insurance via USPS Priority Mail to send them to Kowa after they send me an RMA# via email after a phone call. Strange thing the Japanese lady with heavy accent told me it's not definite if it's a warranty covered issue and I might have to pay for the repairs even though I only recently bought these from an authorized Kowa dealer who advertised these have a lifetime warranty. Back to these Pentax 9x33 I'd strongly recommend buying the Sightron SII Blue Sky 10x32 instead even at their recently jacked up price of $140 or more than pay $279 for these Pentax... I honestly don't know if I feel like keeping this one because the Athlon Midas ED UHD Gen 1 and the ScoopX UHDs literally blows this one away and are WAY CHEAPER have WAY BETTER glass. Plus of course the Sightron SII Blue Sky have slightly better glass at half the price.
