(I confess that posting the following is in part inspired by the recent US election, but I've felt this way since well before the election.)
We have a generation that scrolls TikTok for so many hours a day, they don't get enough sleep. They are utterly disengaged, and many of them have a deep sense of entitlement. They've grown up in the internet era where all the world's shiny objects are at their fingertips. Social media encourages them to fish for likes as a measure of their self-worth. Meaningful connections and civic responsibility are largely foreign concepts to them.
Our culture focuses on the most self-destructive things. Now more than ever, I feel like we're Rome on the verge of collapse.

I've been helping out at my company by walking some jobs and helping with bids after the usual estimator suddenly left. I'm pretty decent with the code book and will dig for trying to find answer but am just uncertain about this paparticular job involving a 2 family dwelling. There is currently a two gang meter socket assembly that was done without permits and the owner wants it made right. My main question is if we can simply put up two completely seperate services with two risers, meter cans, panels and eggs? Does being multi family make it possible for 2 riser? I've been smoking my brain trying to make sense of this and aam getting frustrated. Which codes should I focus on.

I am a CPA and have been working in internal audit for over a year now. I plan to take the CIA exam by Q3 of 2025, by then two years na experience ko in internal audit. Iām curious if the CIA certification could yield better opportunities (and higher pay) and if internal auditors, in general, have wide opportunities dito sa Pinas. Also, would pursuing the CIA opens better opportunities abroad?

2024.11.27 00:37 Bubbad92 Issues with FMLA paperwork, anyone experience this or have any insight?
My girlfriend currently works for Macy's and had to take from 11.15.2024 to 11.17.2024 for a visit to the ER where she was admitted and stayed overnight. Macy's is refusing to accept any doctors notes or anything and are requiring her to get the doctors to fill out her paperwork. However, the doctors note was written by an RN throughout the hospital and whenever we call the hospital states they do not have time to fill out paperwork and refuse to do it. Currently my girlfriend can't clock in or even enter the building without getting this paperwork done and they are threatening her that she could possibly get fired if she doesn't get these forms filled out. We tried to ask her PCP if they would sign it and they stated that since it wasn't their doctors note and that they weren't the ones to fill it out that they will not fill out this work paperwork. Anyone had this experience or know what to do in this situation? Any Macy's hotlines have been no help. Thanks!!!
