2024.11.27 00:39 ichigosr5 [S2 Act 3 Spoilers] Jinx didn't leave her past behind

A lot of people's takeaway from the ending of the story was that Jinx's decision to leave on that airship was meant to signify her leaving her past behind. But I think, instead, the purpose of that ending is showing that she's expanding her horizons.
Jinx's updated appearance shows that she's actually embracing her past, not running away from it. There are homages to Isha with the bunny ears and all the symbols from her helmet. She has her Jinx X symbol all over her body, and she even includes Ekko's Firelight symbol on the balloon ship and own her arm.
The impression that she's leaving her past behind seems to stem from Silco's lines related to choosing to "walk away" in order to break the cycle. But there is another line by Silco that's not talked about as much.

Silco: "We build our own prisons. Bars forged of oaths, codes, commitments. Walls of self-doubt and accepted limitations. We inhabit these cells, these identities, and call them 'us.'"
In Season 1, Jinx believed she needed to "kill" Powder in order to become someone new. And then in Season 2 Episode 4, after her fight with Vi, she believed Jinx needed to stay "dead" so that she wouldn't screw things up with Isha.
But after her (off-screen) talk with Ekko, she realized those were just self-imposed limitations. She can be Powder, Jinx and so much more. She can be anything she wants to be because she now has the courage to step outside the mental cell she's been living in all this time.
Jinx leaving Zaun doesn't mean she is gone forever. It just means that she is seeing what else is out there for her.

So I went fishing with with a new fishing I bought at a yard sale, the Pole I have is a white Berkeley big game with a button wheel with a 20 pound limit, when I went to cast it out the line will would not go past 5-10 feet. In the past I haven't had this problem at all. The fishing line is a really big thick green line. I tried for around 30 minutes trying to adjust the weight of my lute and drag but it wouldn't cast far at all, any suggestions of what I should do.

Hey, we're looking to do a private match tonight from 7-10pst. (That’s 2:00 am GMT Wednesday) Any and all are welcome to come, just use this link to join the discord and I'll friend you from there. Some Rules:

  1. Supply Raid Loadout Game - we go through the premade loadouts 1 by 1, and everyone must use the same preset loadout in each game. This is not optional, if you don't want to do this, don't join. This helps balance skill levels and keep things interesting. We might do other rules like melee only or shivs only, just to keep it fun. (Don't worry we won't make loadouts with DLC weapons/skills if anyone doesn't have them.)
  2. Private/public. There will be a private chat lobby for the game. One team will play in party chat, the other in game chat. Between rounds, we'll pop over into party chat to talk about the games or whatever. During games you'll only be able to hear your own team so strategy and stuff are still at play.
  3. No cheating of any kind. This includes Crabbing, having a sight dot on your screen, wallshooting, or anything else that might be unsportsmanlike. We only want good clean fun.
  4. No shit-talking. No personal insults or slander. I don't want to kick you out but I will. This includes using the words "Gay", "Fag" or "Retard" for any negative reason.
  5. If there's more than 8 people who want to play, you can make additional games or roll in pubs. Hopefully we can pull you up into the main lobby as people have to go.

Can you get fired over EBRS?
My boyfriend got fired from his Dollar General job yesterday (he was the ASM) because he had too many EBRS. As far as I understand, EBRs are excessive amounts of voids, returns, or aborts. But, that is something out of his control?
We live in a poor area, people are constantly wanting stuff but not able to afford it and asking for it to be taken off, which results in voids or aborts needing to happen. He isn't responsible for that and isn't in control of that, and can't just deny people checkout service in case they can't afford it?
I guess my question is just, can you be fired for EBRS? Is there any way we can fight this? I work at dollar general as well, how am I supposed to prevent myself from being fired if I get fired for something that isn't my decision? I'm very confused about the policy and this feels unfair.

I have a 10 year old PC that I am trying to figure out how to upgrade without completely screwing it all up and losing everything. Right now I can barely even get it to run Civilization 5 on low settings for some reason. The video card seems to be having issues and the drivers are no longer updating properly it seems (I'm no expert by any means though).
The current parts are as follows:

I am looking at upgrading to the MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12G GeForce RTX 3060 12GB 12 GB Video Card
Do you guys think this would be big improvement for my PC? The new video card would have 4x the memory, 1.25x higher core clock speed, and of course just seems to be a newer, more modern card with presumedly less driver compatibility issues with current games and programs.
Anything to watch out for or any better ideas?
Also, when should I worry about replacing the CPU/motherboard?

I need some advice on my 5 month old lab mix
We got a bed for him for his cage finally, yippie! Issue is he's treating it like how he would blankets and pulling it up, putting his body between the bed and the cage itself.
Whenever he does it, I would tell him to leave it and guide him off the cage so the bed can lay down fully, he does it when he knows I'm not looking or when the tarp of his cage is down.
Is there a method besides that I can use to get him to stop?

2024.11.27 00:39 david_06-28-23 Soda Got spilled inside of my Xbox Series X, directly in the vent, I have no idea how to clean this please help

I came home to realize that my mom spilled sprite right into my Xbox series X, (she's rly dumb), the fan was making a grinding noise, I looked and saw something shiny, the soda like got all sticky and I shined my flashlight through the holes on the top and see that it got stuck on my fan too, so I'm not sure if it went any deeper than that. If so, how do I go about cleaning it? I've seen tutorials on how to take it apart and have that knowledge, but the cleaning part is the issue, like what to use, how to go about it, etc. I am not sure how much got spilled inside either, it is hard to tell since it is not clear and I do not have the proper tools to take it apart yet. If anyone can help and tell me any information, I would really appreciate it.
