This is a post for people whom have been in a shit situation but still won. My personal experience is this, my landlord (private) wouldn't do no repairs unless it was law required. I had black mold in both mine and my partners bedroom and our kids room. The list of repairs is whole different thread. But after 6 years of asking for shit to be sorted he decided it was time for us to leave. So a section 21 was issued and we was classed as homeless. The day came for us to leave and we was told by the council that they had nowhere for us go, we ended up in a hotel about an hour away with both kids and 3 suitcases. Which was a ball ache! BUT..... Here's the winning part.... We got placed in a beautiful 2 bed flat in a new build with an open plan kitchen, fully furnished all amenities included for £28 a week, the staff on Xmas eve brought me and my family about 25 presents between us. It was the kindness thing anyone outside of our family has ever done for us! Unlucky luck!

Is making racial jokes about you own race sinful?
I know the Bible talks about course joking and not to make such jokes, but where is that line drawn? I'm half asian, half white. Sometimes I'll make jokes about white people or Asian people or stuff similar. If it's making fun of yourself or a part of yourself such as race, would it be considered course joking?
This might sound like an odd question, but I've just kinda been wondering about it lately, and if it's indeed sinful I want to stop as soon as possible, and I kinda have because I just don't really know.

2024.11.27 00:22 king_nothing_ Watch Together feature isn't syncing -- the two clients just play independently of one another. Ideas?
As I understand it, the Watch Together feature is supposed to sync the movie or whatever it is you're watching together. Well, when I've tried to use it recently with someone outside my home (the server is at my home), it doesn't sync. I invite them to Watch Together, they successfully join, and then we just both have "Start" buttons (isn't the invitee supposed to have a "Ready" button)?
If it matters, I'm using Plex for Windows as my client and they're using a Vizio TV (built-in Plex app).
Any thoughts on how to get it working properly would be appreciated.

Today I completed overreacted to a traffic interaction in Hampton Cove. Another driver slightly and very briefly entered my lane but quickly corrected their path. I offered a California howdy and then I actually jumped out of my vehicle, which I have never done before. I acted like an absolute fool yelling and making gestures to the driver and their passenger. I was completely in the wrong, and if you are or know this person, please know that I am truly very sorry.
Not that it's an excuse, but I am on new medication that affects my personality and my quick reactions to adverse/possibly confrontational situations. I definitely made a mistake, and I would have certainly deserved what I got had the other driver reacted with a device to render me incapacitated.
The vehicle was a luxury SUV with a sports team on the license plate. Again, I am sincerely very sorry for my ignorance and my behavior. Nothing you did justifies the actions that I chose.
