Hey gang! I wanted to get either the Squirrel precon or the Eldrazi precon (I can only get one), and an LGS is selling the Eldrazi for $80 rn. Even though I鈥檇 really like the squirrel one more, no store I鈥檝e seen has it and it鈥檚 $130 online. Should I just get the Eldrazi now? Because I鈥檓 losing hope for the squirrels.

I have friend that quite hard of hearing. He 84, has hearing aids, still can鈥檛 hear with them. And as you might expect, is stubborn AF. He鈥檚 a good friend but really is on family level as far as I am concerned.
I鈥檓 concerned about him and his home life. He lives alone and has health challenges.
My grandfather had vision issues. When he got bad, the city sent some social worker (?) over and they did all kinds of things to help him out. Free.
Are there any services in CBus for deaf folks? He gets along ok, but we are concerned he might not hear alarms, etc.

2024.11.27 00:20 Comfortable_Trash880 Possible failed root canal?
6 days ago I had a retreatment root canal on a lower molar. There was some slight discomfort, and an X-ray showed a small infection at the tip of one of the roots, so my endodontist cleaned out the old material, packed it with medicine, and I'll go back to see her in a little over a week from now. I was also placed on an antibiotic. I felt great after the treatment, and was fine for a few days after. On day 4, pain started setting in, so she called me in another antibiotic to try. I'm on day 1 of this new antibiotic, and now I have a slight fever and swelling in my face. I haven't called my doc back about the new symptoms, but plan to tomorrow. Does this sound like my root canal is failing? I don't understand why I'm moving backwards.

I (22F) catfished my (24F) cousin. My cousin has always been an extremely rude person. I hate to say this but I would call her a complete bitch. She's done countless things to me that I have not been able to forgive. She had always seen as the golden child by my whole family and I was always seen to be at fault for anything that would happen. In high school she tried multiple times to get with my boyfriend and when I confronted her about it, everyone took her side even my own parents making it seem like I was the one who took her boyfriend. As we got older, it would just get worse, She would constantly brag about her "achievements" and her "really high paying" corporate job and if I were to ever mention my job or achievements it would be seen as boasting and being a show-off. She later on ended up getting engaged to my high-school boyfriend, which tipped me over the edge. I decided to catfish her in hope to ruin her relationship which I knew wouldn't be hard because she was already getting with other guys while engaged. I created a fake instagram account of a guy and I followed it on my main account, I mentioned "talking" to a guy at a family dinner and knowing her I knew she would go through my instagram to find the guy which led her to my fake account. She followed the account and everything started there, we would talk everyday and send each-other pictures, she genuinely believed he was real. Eventually she broke it off with her fiancee and confessed her feelings to me (fake account), I obviously said I felt the same and we ended up "dating". As a few months went past she became persistent to meet me and kept asking when I would be free to come see her, I kept putting it off saying I had important work and I couldn't leave but she's starting to become impatient now so AITAH for catfishing my cousin?

We were together for over two years. Planned to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with each other's families. So much more, and it's all gone because I made some stupid decisions.
Got into real bad debt to where I need to sell my car, which means I'll also need to abandon my career because it requires me to drive all over my state (construction). She didn't sign up to be my financial manager or to carry any of this load from my mistakes, so we ended it earlier today. She keeps calling me now hours later and leaving a bunch of messages but I ain't listening to them. No sense rehashing what's already done and what's for the best.
But goddammit it still hurts real bad. Really thought this could be The One, at least she was a better candidate than most. Gonna be a long road getting past this one.

Suggest me a book that has an underlying theme of snow, like stuck in an airbnb or otherwise unable to leave because of the weather, can be in a big city, ski resort, or just a cabin in the woods (but not in a horror way). Ideally, there should be two main characters (at least one girl), a perhaps soon-to-be couple or an already established pair. Genre can be young adult, even erotica, but more comedy than drama, I don't want to cry because of them dying or something. I'd imagine them telling stories and getting closer to each other now that they are stuck because of the snow, next to the fireplace. Just some cozy feelgood curl up with cocoa under the blanket kind of book, nothing too serious.

I have Aphantasia and inattentive ADHD, ask me anything. I found that i tend to zone out alot, and with aphantasia, this creates some weird effects. Notably, if you ever saw the lego movie, its like a non visual similar thing to the master builder vision, where instead of seeing phantom stuff, i look at things and suddenly think of all that stuff. Or think of something instead of physically looking at it. This combination caused me to excel in mechanical/logical thinking and i suck at remembering specifics. (A better explanation, in school i hated history because i could never remember the dates, but was amazing at maths because i understood how numbers worked and drew my own patterns)
