I (18F) just wanted to put it out there that I think the guy should make the first move. I believe it shows initiative, which is a quality that I think a man needs to have in a relationship. Now getting into where I need advice
The guy (19M) that I have feelings for has started to show signs that he reciprocates. I've caught him staring and smiling at me but instead of looking away, he'll just hold it and we'll smile at each other. He has also been finding ways to initiate physical contact. He'll touch my arm when he is trying to get attention, which he does not do with anyone else. He also randomly decided he wanted to show me some chords on the guitar one day, but instead of just showing me the chords and telling me how to correct what I was doing wrong like he does with others, he would physically move my fingers to where they needed to be. I feel like I have made it pretty obvious that I feel the same way about him but he hasn't really done anything about it yet. I haven't even gotten a message from him. I just genuinely don't understand what is taking this boy so long. Is there anything else I should be doing?

i’m 25f and i’ve been passionate about self improvement since i was 18. i remember at the age i had this very strong vision of who i was going to be and turn into and i completely lost myself to depression/anxiety as well as poor relationship choices (and the pandemic itself) that had cause me to completely abandon and lose myself until finally now at 25, im starting to become present with my life and live for myself. it’s a beautiful thing to grow and change and improve into the version im finally becoming, but i’m also grappling with the tough pill im currently starting to swallow that i had actually wasted those 7 years being in pain all due to the way i would think and act instead of being true to myself. i can’t help but feel envious of those younger than me, as it’s a reminder to myself when i was insecure, inauthentic, and not present. it’s just crazy to me now that more i start to feel safe in my body and the world around me, all of these realizations and reminders of who i wanted to become totally left the door because i had abandoned myself so deeply. like im starting to remember what i want to strive for and what im passionate about. it’s just crazy how autopilot i was and i feel like im waking up all over again. and i can’t help but feel like i wasted that time losing myself instead of feeling young, confident, free. i know i can be that now, but it’s just the fact that it could have happened sooner. haha
