2024.11.27 01:57 rabiiiii Am I the only who wants X to remain as its own thing and not have a direct link to the other games?

Idk, I get the excitement some fans have, and wanting to theorycraft and find connections, but I really like the idea of X just being a separate and distinct story and universe.
First off, I think was intended that way. We know when development began, Takahashi wasn't going to name it Xenoblade. That was a Nintendo decision, for marketing purposes.
I know there are lots of references to XC1, but, well, Takahashi loves referencing his other games, and referencing things in general. There's lots of references to Xenosaga too, and if anything i think the links are stronger to those games than they are to Xenoblade (minus the aliens).
This next point is just my personal taste, but I dislike it when game/movie/tv franchises start linking every little thing back to itself until there's no remaining mystery and the world the story is set in starts to feel small. It's not unlike when tv shows start to go on a little too long and suddenly there's explanations for every throwaway scene and line in the early episodes that were clearly not written or intended that way.
Personally I loved X so much, and I would like to see it remain a distinctly separate story that happens to share the name used by any Xeno game made under Nintendo ownership. I also loved the Xenoblade trilogy, and I they work perfectly as they are, without trying to cram a space exploration story with aliens in there somewhere.
Not hating on anyone who feels differently, just curious how everyone feels about this.

2024.11.27 01:57 Personal-Afternoon50 The long awaited Guyker roller bridge update (description)

Hi guys,
I was finally able to install the Guyker roller bridge into the Squier VI.
A few things you should know:
The action will be higher. To combat this, You will need a .50 Bass neck shim from Stewmac, as the 1 degree is too much of an angle. You don't need to use a shim if you like a high action. The shim will also fit the entire neck pocket, just trim the sides with scissors to fit.
Intonation of low E is fixed due to the increased range of the saddle and the increase in break angle.
The bridge pins actually fit securely inside of the couplings, no need to install the bridge couplings that come with it.
I have yet to actually change the stock strings to my LaBella Flatwound 26-95 strings. The tension is so much better, no more floppy strings, along with tuning stability.
Raise your pickup heights as well.
You won't regret it.

Mullvadvpn is working, but not really.
I am in China (China blocks everything Google, including the app store (Play store)).
I installed the Mullvad app on my phone (and computer) prior to coming. I can connect and use Google and Youtube and Reddit.
However, on my phone, when I try to install a new app, or update an old app, I simply get an endless "pending" message (for installations) or "waiting for wifi" message (for updates).
How can I have my Mullvad work for play store app updates and downloads?

As the title states, I went on a date with someone who was a friend previously and we'll text pretty consistently for maybe a day or two, but then he stops replying and doesn't reach out to me until the weekend begins again. He has a son and I also have kids, but I would think someone who has interest would want to talk more often than that even if it's for a few minutes on the phone. I'm the type of person that enjots getting to know someone, but there obviously has to be effort reciprocated. He told me that he thought I wanted space since I didn't text him again, but I was so confused about that thought process because he's the one that ignored my last text! Should I just give up entirely on this person OR take what I can get and be more relaxed about it and date other people?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been noticing a strange issue with haptic feedback on my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.1.1. It happens randomly, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar or has a fix.
For example, earlier today, I was trying to set an alarm, but there was no haptic feedback at all. After closing and reopening the Clock app, the haptics started working again.
Another instance is in the Control Center — sometimes, when I long press an icon (like the flashlight or Wi-Fi), there’s no haptic response. It seems like the first press often fails, but when I try again, it works.
This happens intermittently and isn’t tied to any specific app or function. It’s not a huge issue, but it’s frustrating when the haptic feedback is so inconsistent.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions on what could be causing it or how to fix it?
