Trying to plan this out before I drop money.
I have two of these Ikea wall lamps - https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/nymane-wall-lamp-with-swing-arm-white-00357009/
I want to make this smart while also keeping the physical switch working.
Originally I wanted to use the shelly dimmer, but that can't work with dimmer knobs.
I also want to swap out the bulb for a dual tone white smart bulb, I have dual tone white lights all over the house.
Thinking about it more I feel like the shelly uni might be what I need here. All I need is to read the value of the rotary knob on the unit and then Home Assistant will have the logic to adjust the light. The light needs to be constantly powered.

2024.11.27 01:40 CommercialCar9187 I keep getting caught up on the fact AP stalked me
She stalked me, violated my privacy, while sleeping with my AP. She followed every social media account I had including Pinterest, my pets Instagram, my photography page on both fb and Instagram. If I posted a story on any of my accounts, I could guarantee she was always my first view. I got triggered the other day, I used to screen shot her following me and unfollowing me. It would repeatedly show up “ AP followed you” then she would unfollow me; then add me again. It happened for months.
It just makes me irrationally angry that I should have known something was up!!!!!! I should have seen it. I remember asking my partner about it on more than one occasion and getting mad, and he would just say the same thing every time “ she was a girl who was obsessed with him in highschool.” I really didn’t understand it. I guess a part of me rationalized it as she liked my photography work and my personality. I’m not sure. But I remember bringing it up to my WP many times. I felt like I was going crazy. Then one day it just stopped.
I’m mad at myself because like looking back it was obvious she was creepy and trying to get attention. When I contacted AP two weeks ago after my WP truth tickling me: she said she cut it off soon as she knew about me. I knew she was lying to me immediately, but also like home girl I remember your stalking period where I had absolutely no clue about you but you watched ME like a hawk.
It doesn’t make any sense to me. I had my head down in school. I was planning trips, taking care of my WP, we were building a beautiful life and future together and he was banging her for months.
It makes me sick. I found out two months ago. Four years he has hid this information from me. We now have two kids and three on a way. I don’t want to leave him for doing something extremely wrong, or he has done the work to change and he has. But still, it doesn’t erase the hurt I feel or the confusion surround AP.
Last night I woke him up, because my brain needed, would not let go, or the fact of whether they were fully naked or not. He told me at first they were the first time after that no. Then he txted me later saying, actually no he never went fully naked. I know a detail like that is not significant, but to me it is. He said it was just for sex, less than 30 mins, no emotional attachment at all whatsoever. He hated it before during and after, it made him angry and disassociate. I wanted details knowing how intimate they were. To me it sounds like she saw a future and it meant way more to her than it did him. But did he give her some hope for more? He says he never did.
Now I’m aggravated, why can’t he just be honest about the clothes on or off. Why change it after you tell me one thing. I just want the honest brutal truth and to be left alone. I think he owes me that. No lying, all truth.

I need advice on how to figure out if a school district is teacher-friendly, especially if you don't know someone who works there. I'm currently teaching in a district that has been a nightmare—low-performing schools, challenging students, and terrible admin. I’ve only been here a year but desperately want out. Thankfully, I have four districts to choose from, but I'm scared of leaving one bad situation for another.
