So my friend group has been playing commander for at least 6 months, but our games are ridiculous. Typically 1 commander game takes 3 hours for my play group, we only have 1 night a week to play, and like I want to play more than 1 game a night (even our standard games take over and hour and a half).
There have been times where the game took 2 and a half hours total, I got out early, within 30-45 minutes and then the rest play for the other hour and a half and I sit there. Even if I do stay in I don’t want to be stuck in a game for almost 3 hours. And they call me a sore loser for getting out when I’m like “I wanna play, so finish the game don’t drag it out.”
Am I wrong? Is this just how commander is supposed to be?
Or is EDH like this, so I got into the wrong hobby. :(
Like it feels more like a DND session than anything else.

So we know Fen lives in the woods and is a cannibal. And based on her general appearance, cut up clothes, crazy long hair that looks like it’s never been combed. All that stuff. I think it’s likely she can’t actually speak, or at least doesn’t know how. So she communicates in gestures or grunts or stuff like that.
