2024.11.27 02:25 Ok_Alternative_4300 Pentax A Series WP 9x32 Okay...
 | Made in Philippines resembles the much cheaper Sightron SII Blue Sky but have much better quality feel to the build and design. These normally sell for $279. Are they actually worth paying that much? Read on... Image quality I'd say almost on par with the much cheaper less than half the price Sightron SII Blue Sky 10x32 with the edge going to the Sightron in regards to overall sharpness. One and 1/4 revolutions to go from roughly 8 - 9 feet to infinity in a counterclockwise direction. Ergonomics is great but IMHO the glass could have been better. These are about neck and neck with my Kowa Genesis Prominar XD 8x33 in it's current defective state less than stellar image quality thought very good not that great for the price. I sent the Kowa today for warranty Tuesday 11/26/2024 and had to pay out of pocket to pay shipping and insurance via USPS Priority Mail to send them to Kowa after they send me an RMA# via email after a phone call. Strange thing the Japanese lady with heavy accent told me it's not definite if it's a warranty covered issue and I might have to pay for the repairs even though I only recently bought these from an authorized Kowa dealer who advertised these have a lifetime warranty. Back to these Pentax 9x33 I'd strongly recommend buying the Sightron SII Blue Sky 10x32 instead even at their recently jacked up price of $140 or more than pay $279 for these Pentax... I honestly don't know if I feel like keeping this one because the Athlon Midas ED UHD Gen 1 and the ScoopX UHDs literally blows this one away and are WAY CHEAPER have WAY BETTER glass. Plus of course the Sightron SII Blue Sky have slightly better glass at half the price. I'm a software engineering student and I regularly use different IDEs for my school work. Could any of the veterans give me some ideas on what I should do? Should I create a container and have my files there and SSH into it to then retrieve and work on those? Can I create a cloud IDE hosted on my server that way I can just vpn into it and use it?
I know I could just github everything but these are just assignments, small projects. Absolutely nothing worthy of being put on github

 | So I'm designing a full tang spear that I'm going to have cut out of a plate of 1070 steel by my works Lazer cutter. I'm having them edge the bevel lines onto the steel to have a guide for when I'm grinding them. The question I have is goe do you achieve rounded plunge lines? I like the design and look of thay style but I'm unsure if how it's achieved. Any advice or help is welcome. I’m curious what fellow Canadians think:
If someone provokes a fight, such as verbally engaging with a stranger, then physically assaulting that stranger by throwing the first punch.
IF that stranger pulls a knife and uses it on the person who approached them, is it justified use of force to pull out and use a knife if the stranger was feeling physically threatened by the person and that their own life was in danger? (For example, the person who approached could fight and was bigger than them) Would you feel empathetic for the person who started the fight and got stabbed?
I personally would never condone someone carrying and using a knife, but if I was in a situation like that my goal would be de-escalation so that it doesn’t get to a point of physical altercation rather than engaging in it.
