 | Howdy howdy! This week, my partner and I finally pulled the trigger on this pretty unit! A few years back, I had become fixated on buying an RV, parking it on some land, and watching my house get built from the comfort of a cozy camper. I took a job as an RV technician (initially to deter myself; when that failed, I figured the experience would help lol) and spent some time figuring out exactly what I wanted (and also figuring out that no RV is going to be exactly what you want).  | George was gone all day today. He showed up at 7:30p and ate almost the entire bowl of food. Then crawled inside the tote shelter ! I went in the house marked up the pet heating disc, put inside its cover and then wrapped in a thin hand towel hoping to keep it warmer for longer. George came out of the shelter when I stepped back outside, so I was able to tick the heat disc inside under the straw…. But not without him jumping into the kid, hissing and swatting at me a dozen times. Like “Jeeze dude, I’m trying to help you !” 🤣. I burned out earlier this year, and I don’t think I’ve been the same since. I’m in a much better headspace these days, but I no longer enjoy this job. The spark just isn’t there anymore. The toxic culture of my program has dimmed my light, and the mistreatment I’ve experienced so far has turned me into a bitter, resentful person—and I hate that for myself. I miss who I was before this training began. I used to bring life into any room I walked into, but now my energy seems to suck the life out of every space. I used to be fun-loving, enthusiastic, and outgoing, but now I’m the opposite of all those things.
I’m tired. Truly tired. And I don’t know if it’s even worth it anymore. Financial security? Great. Status? Wonderful. But is this job fulfilling? Is it worth doing? I’m starting to lose sight of that. I don’t even enjoy patient encounters anymore. I dread going to work and dread being in this profession. And what a shame that is—I used to be the most excited about this journey.
I don’t think my program realizes the damage they’ve inflicted on me. No, wait—they do. They just don’t care. That’s not even an exaggeration.
I need someone to tell me the grass is greener on the other side. Please tell me residency is temporary and that this too shall pass. I can’t imagine an eternity of living like this.

 | Hey guys. Recently got this piece done by a very reputable artist in town. It'll be one week tomorrow since the work was done. The tattoo has not been healing well. At least not compared to how much previous tattoos healed. I think it could be two things and I wanted to hear your advice before I reach out to the artist. First, I had a pretty harsh reaction to Saniderm. The second picture is after I took it off. I had it on for 24 hours. My skin was extremely red. The entire area was swollen. Not just the tattoo but anywhere the Saniderm was effected. Second, I'm worried the top half of the tattoo was overworked. Either that or the reaction to the saniderm caused my tattoo to split. The skin around the areas that are overworked are extremely risen and red. The bottom half of the tattoo is healing perfectly normally. The top half is red, raised, the black ink is milky in appearance, and I can pretty clearly see a thick gash/cut along the top of the head. My aftercare regiment has been washing with unscented antibacterial soap three times a day. Followed by application of unscented lotion. On day two or three I noticed it was healing incorrectly and made the switch to aquaphor for a couple days. This is my third tattoo and I've never seen one healing like this before.
